Fifteen years experience as HR Benefits Representative for large Midwest bank with international locations. Five years as Inbound Call Center Case Manager serving customer base of 73,000 people. I specialize in the areas of enrollment/eligibility and claims customer service for Medical (HMO, PPO, POS, Indemnity) Dental (DMO and Comprehensive), Vision and Life insurance.

I have been offered an excellent and higher paying job at another company. I like my current place but pay difference is too great to turn down. When I explained this - my boss gave me a counter-offer that is equal to 50% of the pay difference.

I have heard that if you give your termination notice, and the current company makes you a counter offer which you accept (and stay) - it is something like 75% certain you will be gone (either quit again or get fired) from that company within 3-4 months. Has anyone heard anything like this?? If I decide to stay - what is the likelyhood I will leave (quit/get fired) int he next few months anyway???

Does anyone want to start an online business together or something? I have 2 grand to start. If you dont have any money it's cool as long as you can give some good ideas on what we could do. were you from wealthy families who payed for your education, supported you while in school, and your only concept of "work" is the white collar kind? I am really interested in hearing your reasons for not increasing the minimum wage. Also, since there are more poor people than funds available for continuing education, what do you propose the rest of us poor people do to get ahead?

My dog is chewing the walls, the rent is higher than most places in the area, I cannot afford it anymore. I am very unhappy with the apt. and I am paying TOP DOLLAR for it. There is an exact apt next to me that is $250 cheaper than mine and my landlord won't budge...I cannot afford this apt anymore and I WANT OUT!!!

I need to solve this problem, before I inhearit this house. My parents house is really old and really dangerous. They have no motorvation to move or to fix anything. They want to move but I have to do everything by myself, before they get old and don't do nothing at all. I have continued to lose my credit in order to help maintain my husband's. I have stuck to my guns in order to do whatever it takes to save my sister who has cancer, to help anyone or thing that needs some sort of comfort or assistance.....guess what....I'm now STUMPED at finding help for myself. I have been at my job for 12 years and the last 5 years have been just horrible. My bosses are Male Chauvinist PIGS, they have no communication skills. The only skill they have is talking about everyone and yelling and throwing things! They also have more respect for the Employees who kiss a** and have only been with them a short time.

Im and my mom are looking for seasonal job ; and on one of the oneline aplication it saids its looking for "sales associates" , and on the other it saids " seasonal associates" are these jobs for someone with a GED or are they like mangaer type jobs ?
