How can I tell if I'm being conned? A seller from the UK offered me a too-good-to-be-true deal on a car and says that I must go through YAHOO finance for the transaction. How can I tell if I'm being conned? His Yahoo addrerss is: andrew.bvt75@yahoo.com. He lives in the U.K. , says that I need to submit payment from Westenn Union to YAHOO! finance and that Yahoo Finance verifies the payment. The seller then ships the merchandise & submits tracking information. Yahoo Finance then verifies that the buyer recieves the shipment. The buyer then has the option to accept or reject the merchandise. Yahoo Finance then pays the seller by cashier's check, Western Union, Money Gram or wire transfer. The transaction would then be complete. How can I find out if all of this is legit?

I have a low credit score from back when I was a kid. I have a 05 Jeep Wrangler I paid cash for and I just paid my grandmothers mortage off and she gave me her house. However, I gave it right back to her as a life estate. So Im not sure if I could qualify for a first time buyers plan. I dont want to put her house up as collateral. However, I need to borrow about 60k to purchase a fixer upper home in my area. I have a steady job, a cosigner (mom) and even plan on having at least one room mate. I also have 5% put back in savings, plus 3 months mortage and bills in savings. I tried Eloan/Lending Tree and was denied. I have no outstanding blls and have paid my rent on time for my luxury apartment, early for over a year which proves I can afford a smaller house note! Who should I turn to? (I definitly want less than 10% intrest) Thanks!

I currently have a retail job, but have accepted a position in my career field. However, my new employer is not sure when my orientation will be - it could be two or three weeks. When should I give notice to my current employer? I can't go without a paycheck, but it wouldn't be fair to leave them at the last minute.

When you pay a cheque in with the bank, do they pay the money into your account and then go about getting the money from the other person? Or do they get the money from the other person first and then pay the money they receive from the other person into your account?

an option. He is totally against credit cards and if he found out I was hiding this, our marriage would be destroyed. I am am able to make payments on these without hurting the family financially, however, the guilt of this is killing me. If we ever went for a loan and they pulled up a credit report and he saw these credit cards, things would be over. All I want to do is get the debt out of my name so it will not show up on anything. Is it possible to have someone else take out a credit card with a balance transfer option and pay my cards off for me so that this no longer shows up in my name. I would then in turn pay them back. Does anyone know if this is an option?

This prestigious post requires intergrity; impartiality. A person worthy of the title 'World Leader'; Some one who has impartial views and cannot be bought.

Whom do you think would be best suited to fill this post (indeed has that someone been born yet)?

And what other qualities would you say are essential to take on this role.

BoE has increased rates to 5% to slow down inflation? Government Inflation rate stated @ 2.4% but to most, this is too low given Elec/Gas hikes and cost of petrol/Council Tax.
Guess what? I want a big increase in wages to cover mortgage payment increases etc. This will increase inflation rate, I know, but what alternative do I and everyone else have?
My pay increases have been negligible over last few years but bills have all increased. House prices are going up but I CAN'T SPEND BRICKS.
Has anyone any comments on this?
