Business & Finance - 9 November 2006

I am torn between many career and job choices. I basically have unlimited options, but I just wanted to know what other people think of them!
Note: I enjoy continuously learning within a job, not repetive tasks.

- Musician (I play the piano and viola at high standard, enjoy music a lot, but it may not be an ideal 'career'?)
- Translator/interpretor/Teacher of English/other subject at foreign school (especially a school in Japan. I love learning languages and travelling, China, Japan, Russia and Korea being my favourites, and it would definately be a job which I am 'consistantly' learning from)
- Doctor (a steady job, which I would learn a lot from, very useful skills can be acquired from it, good pay - the world always needs doctors!)
- Politics (something in politics. Not sure what, but I'm starting to get interested in politics and business)

I believe that means that if it's now 2007 and I lived in the property in 2002 and 2003, but kept it rented afer 2003 , that it fills the requirement. I could have captail gains waived if I sold in 2007.

I have united plus credit card. I once received an e-mail from united.com stating that if I refer other people to apply and get their visa credit card, I will get 1,000 credit to my account? I've called united and they gave a phone number that sounds like a fax, other assistant told me to log into www.mt friend.com and nothing..........

I handed in my notice today

my manager ripped it up and said he is not accepting it, he dont want to lose me I am a valued member of staff.

Some times walMart is playing country music.
Some times they are playing rock n roll, the Beatles, classic rock.

How do they decide what to play and when? Is it up to each individual store's manager to choose the playlist, or is it handed down from the head office in Bentonville?

I was able to finally get a favorable judgement on my SSD case. However I will still not receive any checks for another 4 to 6 weeks However my children and I have to move this weekend. they say that I will receive back pay from 2003 till now but that does not help at this moment can any one tell me where I might be able to obtain an advancement of this judgement. All I need is $3000.00 for our move and bills until these checks come. can't find a place that will advance on this. PLEASE HELP I don't want my children to be out in the cold. If you know please let me know I am at my witts end with this for last 5 years already. Thank you!!

I just recently recieved a notice on my door saying that our water is going to be shut off. I am renting this place by the way. I fear that our rent is too low for my landlord to pay the water bill. Is it possible for him to raise our rent due to his lack of money?

I had a loan with a loan-shark... My payment was due 5 days ago... I have been calling and leaving voice messages... no calls back, which I found weird becasue this guy was very sharp about payments on time. I put his name on yahoo search and it came back that he was killed late October and he was been investigated by the federals for threatening violence to collect a debt....

I filled out an application over the internet 4 days ago for a local movie theater. One of the peoples called me last night and I did an over the phone interview. The lady said she'd turn the paper or w.e it was to her supervisor, and that they'd give me a call back if i got hired or not. So like, what's an estimated time i'd have to wait to know for sure if i got hired or not.

and is it legal for me being 16 and be working till 11:30 pm on school nights? and i live in Michigan so any info would helps.

I got caught shoplifting from a retail store by an undercover detective. I was put on citizen's arrest and had to wait there handcuffed until the police showed up. I have a clean reocrd so they gave me a citation and banned me from goin to that store for a year. I have a court date next month. The thing i stole was under $ 100.00, I'm scared and dont know what to expect. What will happen to me as far as trying to get a job, this is a misdemeanor what are the chances of me finding a good job. Will i go to jail?for how long. I dont have a job to pay for this can I do community service instead? What will happen if I'm on probation? Can anyone help me with this, according to florida law? Basically my father owns a house, 40k in the bank and his only income is social security. That is all. He needs assisted living help but refuses to go to a retirement home. He is 81 and has the early stages of alzheimers. He can not drive or bath himself. Thank you for any help you can provide!
