Who knows how to apply for united miles plus credit when referring a friend?

I have united plus credit card. I once received an e-mail from united.com stating that if I refer other people to apply and get their visa credit card, I will get 1,000 credit to my account? I've called united and they gave a phone number that sounds like a fax, other assistant told me to log into www.mt friend.com and nothing..........

Check out the link. Have your friend call 1-877-507-5674 and have your United Mileage Plus account number handy (not your Visa card!). 5000 Bonus Choice points. Not bad.
