I filled out an application over the internet 4 days ago for a local movie theater. One of the peoples called me last night and I did an over the phone interview. The lady said she'd turn the paper or w.e it was to her supervisor, and that they'd give me a call back if i got hired or not. So like, what's an estimated time i'd have to wait to know for sure if i got hired or not.

and is it legal for me being 16 and be working till 11:30 pm on school nights? and i live in Michigan so any info would helps.

Much thanks!

I agree with the first poster. It may take a week or even more for them to get back to you. I suggest following up with them one week after your interview if you have not heard back. Be persistent, but allow them some time to come to a decision. For example, the only way, I would wait less or longer than a week is if they told you they would come to a decision within a few days. If so, then call after a few days.

I got offered my current job one month after I interviewed in person! So you never know how long it might take, honestly. Just be sure to reiterate your interest until you get some type of response.

I believe it would still be legal to work until 11:30pm, as far as I know. But, you will be limited to a certain amount of hours you can work each week since you are 16.

Best of luck.

You can never really know for sure unless you call them. Sometimes they don't even bother to let people know that they did not get the job. On the other hand, I have been hired literally months after applying for one job. Call them and ask.
