I have continued to lose my credit in order to help maintain my husband's. I have stuck to my guns in order to do whatever it takes to save my sister who has cancer, to help anyone or thing that needs some sort of comfort or assistance.....guess what....I'm now STUMPED at finding help for myself. Yes I've checked with every and any financial institution known to man....except for a good old fashioned loan shark. I need to breathe, I need to live again, there is no one I feel I can turn to at this point.

Ok, stop, think and breathe, and breathe again.

1. Call each credit card company and ask them for help....they have a vested interest in helping you.

2. Tell them you intend to pay each and every one of them.....ask again and again for the lowest interest rate possible, and for a good payment plan that works for you.

3. Ask each one for help to keep the payments low.

Your statement is confusing because you discuss your husband....sounded like the problem, or your sister's situation.

........Ask and you shall receive....and pray always!

It's time for your husband to bail you out. Ask family and friends for a loan, or just tell them that you are in need of financial assistance and you just want monetary gifts this year for Christmas. It also sounds like you need a higher paying job. You need to stop giving so much to other people. I know that it's nice to help and to give, but you cannot do it to the extent that you are. You have no money left or saved for yourself. That's not smart financial planning. Go meet with a financial planner and see what they can do to get your finances straighted out. You need a budget.

Stop being a doormat. Stop trying to save the world. If you can't help yourself then how can you help others? It's ok to say NO. Take a breath, live, turn inward, to yourself and take time for yourself. You are strong, look at what you have done for other people now for once, be good to the most important person in the world....YOU.

First you need to realize that your husband is an adult. If you keep bailing him out, he will NEVER learn how to help himself and in that you are actually hurting him.

I don't know how you're helping your sister but the best solution would be, instead of helping her out financially, give your time to search and find agencies and programs to help her out. Do you think your sister wants you to bury yourself in debt to help her? That is spiritually hurting her and I'm sure the guilt weighs heavily on her mind.

As for everyone else- as was said before, learn to say "no". You have no obligation to them. If they need comfort or assistance, give it to them- just don't do it financially. Give your time, give your skills, just listen to them vent their problems. Do not give them money.

As for helping you, you weren't very specific in describing how you are hurting. Credit cards, car loan, house loan, utilities? What do you need advice and help with?

Also, beware of the financial predators. They will come a sniffing now. Beware of sites saying you can make money by using them. A lot of scams out there preying on people who need money.

i'm sorry to hear about your sister. now it seems like you have many credit cards that need to be payed off....try consolidating them and using your husbands cards to pay it off. he needs to help you as much as you helped him. your family needs to take care of your sister, not just you. take a step back and relax. you're going to be fine.
