Tattoos - December 2007

i just got my tattoo a week ago, i am still using the a&d ointment, but i had forgot at home. it is so dry, i hate not to put anything on it. the only cream i have at work is suave skin smoothing lotion w/ a fragrance. can i just use that for the day?

I'm a real perfectionist and have a few minor spots on my tattoo that I wanna touch up. I wanna do it myself instead of hiring a tattoo artist to touch up something that he can't even see...

How can I touch up my own tattoo???

I live in Denver, CO and want to get a removable tattoo. I found one I really want to get but want to have the option in the far away future of getting rid of it. Does anyone know of where I could get one that gives you the option of removing it, but is still permanent? I have tried to email freedom2 ink but they won't email me back with anyone who does, and I don't think it is available yet. Thanks!

P.S. I understand a tattoo is a committment, but please don't leave answers asking why I would want to get rid of it. Thanks again!

I'm wanting to get tattooed on the insides of my wrists. I'm also planning on working at the Relay Service for Deaf people, or being an interpreter. Would having tattoos so close to my ever flailing hands be a major distraction if I were to sign for a career?

Hi, i'm getting my first Tattoo tommorow on the inside of my wrist, I'm getting my name Amanda in thin black italics. I wasn't nervous atall until people started telling me horror stories of how much it hurts. People who have tattoos or know someone with a tattoo, Do they really Hurt? is there anyway to describe the pain?
Unbearable? Not bad?

i got a bug bite on a tattoo i got about a month ago, and i popped it.

the parts where the skin peeled off are just fine, the color is still there, but im worryed about the actual bite area

will that area be healed in as my normal skin color? or will remain black liek the ink?

Like, I've had three piercings in my ears (first two didn't hurt, duh) but the third one did a bit. (Three in a row, on the lobe-ish area, btw) So how band would you think it would hurt compared to that?

Hi- My husband has been a tattoo artist for quite some time but we live in a rural little town and had never had an african american client until a week ago. She is a woman from africa and we did a heart with angel wings on her lower back. She wanted color but now called and states the color didnt take very well and that it looks faded after giving it a few days to heal. Does anyone have suggestions for getting ink to take in such dark skin or what colors are better than others. Her skin tone is a medium to dark brown, ALmost toward a coffee color skin. We just want to do everything to make this turn out for her as she is returning to africa in only 3 months. Please email us at blue2cry@hotmail.com with any suggestions and we'd be happy to take them into consideration. Also are there better brands of ink to choose for that skin tone? Currently we've got voodoo, skin candy, scream, kuro sumi and moms. Nothing seems to be working well though. Any imput would help alot.

I have a poorly done lower back tattoo that was carved into my back using an exacto knife and black tattoo ink. I'm trying to find a way to have it removed. Does anybody have experience with this, or can anyone offer me any advice? You're help will be much appreciated.

i'm in st. louis, mo. shops aren't allowed to tattoo a "mole" or "freckle" on the face because it's considered cosmetic here.

are there any states that will do this?

I am getting three stars, not sure if i want color yet or not. But they will be in a random design where my bra strap would be and a good size. I got one done on my hip bone already and it barely hurt at all. Sorry but there really isn't any better picture unless you see the music video, the video moves fast.

Anyways, when I saw this I totally fell in love with it. It looks like a really pretty idea. I want to string pearls on my ears like she does, but how exactly? Are there special chains or special thread I can get that are safe for that? Because if I were to do it I'd have it like that all the time, not just a little while.

Any help would be really appreciated.

So last night to get over my ex i decided to carve my new boyfriend's initial around my hip area, is that saying that it is just as important and permanent as a tattoo? because i think he is the real "one". Is it the same thing without the ink? don't worry, i know i'm stupid so you can leave that out of your answer...
