I live in Denver, CO and want to get a removable tattoo. I found one I really want to get but want to have the option in the far away future of getting rid of it. Does anyone know of where I could get one that gives you the option of removing it, but is still permanent? I have tried to email freedom2 ink but they won't email me back with anyone who does, and I don't think it is available yet. Thanks!

P.S. I understand a tattoo is a committment, but please don't leave answers asking why I would want to get rid of it. Thanks again!

Apparently I wasn't clear enough when I said I understand they are a committment. DO NOT leave anwers that say "why would you want a tattoo if you would get rid of it! I don't want your opinion, but an answer. This is Yahoo ANSWERS!

You are correct in that it is not available yet. The Freedom 2 people are all about hype but they don't produce. This product was to be available over a year ago - also, right now they are claiming that only black will be available and the colors will be available shortly. I would put down money that even the black is not going to be available for a very long time.

Also, they are already preparing us that this ink is going to cost a lot of money. Many shops won't carry it.

Here are very big considerations - while the ink can be removed, will there be a scar from the tattooing? Will there be a scar from the laser?

I recommend you be very sure you want a tattoo and find someone very reputable. Good luck.

Sorry but I don't know why you would get a tattoo if you are already thinking about getting it removed. But anyways....wait for the new biodegradable ink, its is removed a lot easier than what they use now...but maybe by then you can come up with something you will want forever by then : )

Yes! Sometime this next year they are releasing a new type of tattoo ink that is more laser friendly, disappearing with just one treatment, instead of 6 to 8. So its just like a tattoo, same method to apply it, but it goes away cheaper and faster. http://technology.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=mg19025495.600&feedId=online-news_rss20

Tattoos are supposed to be permanent, if you arent commited to the lifestyle enough to get it permanently done, then you shouldnt get a removable one.
