I have Che Guevara on my left arm. It was paid for from money left to me in my nan's will and I wanted a permanent reminder of her and not just a cheesy "Nan" tattoo.

I have 16 - 7 are little beetles on my foot
I have 3 on my armsflowers/ lizards/ Celtic/ my son (symbolic, not portrait or name)
3 on my legs - Celtic, seahorse, spider (for my other son)
3 on my back/shoulder - MASSIVE Celtic snake, Egyptian eye, small black dragon on the back of my neck

15 years for the oldest - no regrets yet, and my kids love them esp the ones I got for them. No one would dream of saying that I have a tramp stamp! I am a very well spoken and articulate person and people always say 'I would have never thought that you would have tattoos' . The steroetypes really should be laid to rest - I know so many clever and sophisticated people who have tattoos

Yes, I have a tattoo of storm clouds and lightning on my foot with the initial T.C.B. These initials stand for Taking Care Of Business which was Elvis' motto. My tattoo is a tribute to Elvis, to taking care of business and to the fact that life is like a storm. [Lots of grey with the odd burst of white!] I got it 4 weeks ago on Hollywood Boulevard....and whilst the artist didn't get it exactly how I wanted it, I still think it's kinda cool.

i have 19 pieces on my body (visible and nonvisible) and working on getting more.. its a personal choice so if people wanna get them get them, but i just don't agree with all these judgmental people bashing them when they don't know anything of the tattoo culture..

they are a personal choice, make sure that you are 100% sure that you are getting what you want and where you want it... make sure you go to a shop that has autoclaves and cleanliness.. sit down with the artist, check out their portfolio and make sure that this establishment can give u what u want and has the proper equipment. don't get it cause u think its the cool thing to do, f%$k that s**t, get a tattoo cause its meaningful and personal to you...

I'm a fan of custom work and all of mine so far has been that way and is very personal and representative of my experiences

F$%k all you judgmental bastards out there who have a thing against tattoos, have respect and tolerance for others, jeez

I have an Egyptian one (my own design) a pair of lizards, my name and a symbol of a sort of gang I was in, and another symbol that my friend and I made up at school. I got the first one as an eighteenth birthday present to myself. As for why, 25 years ago it was pretty unusual for a girl to get tattoos - we were punks, they were badges of allegiance I suppose.

yes. i have a 6 inch tattoo of a dragon on the outside part of my leg, just below my hip bone.

i got it done after the break-up of a relationship. it was my way of dealing with things - of showing the strength and ability to move on in my life.

tattoos are very personal things. i hate it when people are narrow minded enough to make nasty comments about people with tattoos. people should be allowed to do what they want to their own bodies (well, most things anyway) without having to face prejudice because of their tastes / decisions. (i say this as there is always someone who bleats on about how wrong tattoos are)

I have a tattoo, its on the base of my spine, its a unique design (my sister in law designed it for me) hearts and swirls and stuff. I got it because I was ALWAYS told growing up not to get one! I never got around to getting one and on my 30th birthday my sister in law took me the tattoo shop and I had it done there and then x I love it x I wouldn't have any more though x

I have several Tattoos. Got them because they looked cool. They are not offensive but I would not have gotten any if I could do it again. Too Permanent. If you pick one out, wait a week to make sure you still want it. Good Luck.

I have 38 tattoos. And yes, I STILL got a job, LOL! I have a lot on my legs of my Grandmother when she was young and one when she was old, stars,Lotus flowers, Koi fish, and Marilyn Monroe. My arms have stars and a skull with a pink bow. My chest has a Celtic butterfly and my back is covered from top to bottom with a large flower with bubbles and stars. I love stars if you can't tell.

I have a sun on my wrist.

I had pretty hard childhood/teenage years, so it's basically a reminder to me that I've been through hell but I'm still here. A sun typically represents knowledge, and a "new day" which basically helps me tell myself that I'm in control of my future. I can do whatever I want with it.

I have 9 and my 10th is being done on the 2nd Jan.
I had my first ink at 15, mainly coz my mate was a tattooist but the reason I have carried on having more is coz I like having them done, more than I like the end results. Same as with my piercings...and I have quite a few of them too.
It's way too addictive!!!
