Like, I've had three piercings in my ears (first two didn't hurt, duh) but the third one did a bit. (Three in a row, on the lobe-ish area, btw) So how band would you think it would hurt compared to that?

Yeah it hurts kind of like a nostril piercing but you will live through it :-)

I have my Labret (below my lower lip) pierced. I was a bit freaked when I went in to get it done. I thought it was going to hurt really bad. But surprisingly it was not bad at all. It's just a VERY quick pinch. Then I was good to go. Not an ounce of pain after it was done. Good luck. Don't let your wuss'ness get in the way of having a rockin' piercing. Trust me, you'll love it when it's done. And you'll think back and say, "That wasn't so bad".

I have my lower lip done (labret) and it didn't hurt. The only part that hurt was when the piercer went through the inside of my lip and it wasn't a real bad pain, just a lil hot. tbh, it's all over before you feel pain. its the days after it when it can get a lil sore and you end up with a fat lip.
if you've had piercings done by guns, they hurt a hell of alot more than a needle does, yeah its faster, but its a blunt object going in, not a sharp one. i have 3 piercings by gun (lobes (which i had done when i was a baby) and 2 in cartilage) and 2 by needle (labret and surface bar on wrist) and the cartilage ones with the gun hurt a hell of alot more than any other ones!!!

Did you have your ears pierced with a gun? If you get your lip pierced they will use a needle. The guns used for ears hurt way more as they are forcing a BLUNT object straight through. Piercing needles have 6 sides and are super sharp so it hurts a lot less. I have had piercings from both and guns are definitely worse and the pain is usually there after the piercing is done and takes a little while to settle down. With all my piercings i have had from needles (11), the pain is over basically instantly.
My lip hurt for about 2 seconds while the needle went through, but as soon as it was through, the pain was one. I got my ears done again with a gun, and it shocked me how bad they were, they felt like they were on fire afterwards.
I think if you have had year ears done with a gun (especially in cartilage) then you can definitely handle your lip.

it really depends on what part of your lip you want to get pierced. i've had all sides pierced, and from my personal experience the middle hurts the most, probably because the tissue is thicker. the sides are pretty tame, itll burn just like any other piercing.. make sure you take proper care of it, wash your mouth on the exterior, use non alcohol based mouth wash, and take advil or ibuprofen to reduce the swelling... initial healing til it stops hurting will prolly be 2 weeks, but full healing takes maybe 4 months

I had my labret done years ago and it felt more weird than painful. The worst thing was that I had a big ring in it and it kind of dragged my lip down for a couple of days until I got used to it.

lol not really.
my nose hurt more than my lip did.
i have my monroe done.
which is just the upper lip.
it hurts more to get something with cartilage pierced.
you'll manage. ^.^
and it'll be worth it, pain is only temporary.

I didn't think mine hurt much at all. The most annoying part was the few days after when you will have a swollen lip.

It didnt hurt much at all. Slight discomfort and a fat lip. I would recommend it to the biggest wuss lol its really simple, quick and painless.

It really is no big deal - I have had it done twice in the same place and the scar tissue made it harder secind time, but it really didn't hurt that much cos it was still quick.
