Is there such a thing?...

I'm a real perfectionist and have a few minor spots on my tattoo that I wanna touch up. I wanna do it myself instead of hiring a tattoo artist to touch up something that he can't even see...

How can I touch up my own tattoo???

Not sure, but that would be a great thing to have, especially since some tattoos fade over time.

I have a tattoo of a purple heart and some decorative black markings around it. The purple wasn't as purple as I would've liked (too close to looking like the black), so I took a blue permanent marker, colored it in and smudged it. Of course, this too fades over time, but I do it every so often and it looks great!

I went back twice to have it touched up, but they never got it right so I took matters into my own hands.

Good luck!

The simplest answer is no, you can't. There's no tattoo touch up kits. There is ALOT of training that goes into learning to tattoo professionally. First of all, the risk from lack of proper sterilization makes the idea of an untrained person tattooing themselves out of the question. Secondly, there are alot of other things that also need to be taken into consideration, such as proper needle depth, proper angle, skin type, skin stretch and much more, just to insure the skin isn't turned into hamburger. ALL tattoos have imperfections. Most of those imperfections are not noticable to anyone but the artist, unless the artist points them out to the client. If you don't think the artist that originally did the tattoo can hide the imperfections that you see, find a different artist and get thier opinion.

not smart...do it yourself tattoo touch up kit. Just go back to the tattoo parlor you had it done at. Most all shops do touch ups for free. (speaking of, i need to go in and get mine touched up.)

Never heard of one outside of a prison. Go back to the place that you had it done, tell the guy what you don't like, and ask him to fix it. Any repectable tattoo artist will fix their own work.
Their name is attached to it, so they want it to look good, too.
