I am getting a dragonfly tattoo on Friday. I am putting it on the base of my neck. I dont want a boring usual dragonfly. How can I make my dragonfly unique?

Im not having it done at a parlor. My dad is having a tattoo party at his house. It is a professional tattoist though.

I just want to customize it somehow so it shows my personality or something, just so it's not so ordinary like something alot of other people have.

I want to get a tattoo before I go off to college, but my parents can't see it. Where do you suggest I get my first tattoo and what do you think it should be? I was thinking in my pelvic region, my first initial, some words or something...

i jumped into the pool about 10 times then got out right away. i didnt really soak it but i did get it wet. but before i would go into the pool i applied the tattoo goo on. do u think my tattoo will be in trouble?

I want to get a breast cancer awareness ribbon tattoo, and I've thought I would just get it on my ankle because it's a safe spot, but I would like to put it over my heart or towards the top of my left breast, but I'm scared that when I get older, and my boobs start to sag, the tattoo would stretch and not look as good. Am I thinking correctly that I shouldn't get it tattooed in that area, or is there a safe way to place it?

i have just got a tattoo yesterday and i thought it would be appropraite to where the covering on it while i was working (the same day) when i got home and took the bandage off (plastic wrap) it had sweat and there was ink in the plastic can someone tell me what happend? will may tattoo still turn out the same as everyone elses has? what will happen?

I got my tattoo done Thursday night, so it's been about three days now. I know that's when the peeling and scabbing supposed to happen right? Is that what the bumps on my tattoo are? (Picture below.)
And also, it the reason it keeps swelling up is because it's on my foot? I've barely gone anywhere today but by the end of the night it kills me, yet this morning there was almost no swelling.
I also have to go back to work on Tuesday, how should I care for it? Just a clean sock? I work eight hours but I can try to do very minimal walking, I just have to stand on it for eight hours.
My tattoo artist told me to leave it absolutely dry but I've heard from my friends and websites that A&D is needed to keep it moisturized, so anytime it seems to dry I'll put a little on. Is it common that that causes a little bit of the ink to bleed (you can see in the picture).
Please help, I'm just a nervous wreck being it's my first tattoo.

what kind of opposits would look good on the back of someons legs. i want something that is a little original. i know it wont be but as long as i think it is that is ok.

Its a sublime thing, and I really like the design, so I was thinking of getting a tattoo similar to this one, I am going to draw it up myself and redesign it a little bit, its not going to be as big, maybe 8-10 inches tall.

How much might it cost me? I might just outline it first, then go back and get shadowing and finishing touches done, maybe some color.

Any Idea of the Cost? 600? 400-500 for the outline maybe?

I am in the process of providing aftercare for my freshly inked first tattoo. I am so happy with it, and understand the guidance to not let the tattoo dry out. I am not overmoisturizing, either, but I am curious to learn what happens to a tattoo that receives more moisture than is ideal, i.e., if someon repeatedly oversaturated a tattoo with too much lotion? Is the guidance not to overdo it simply because more moisture is not necessary, or is it actually harmful to the tattoo?

Overall, I want it to look like a morphing vine (thorny/creepy to leafy/swirling). It will start on my lower back with thorny vines. Then it will progress up my spine and over my left shoulder, morphing into a swirly and leafy vine. The vine will end above my left breast and sit underneath a lotus flower. (Possibility of vine wrapping around my left breast?)

I go to a privare school that does not allow piercings, and this summer i got my lip pierced, i know that I can wear a clear retainer, but do they really work...i cant let my school know that i got my lip pierced because they will make my take it out. my friends say that you can still see the retainers when they are in your lip. i'm not sure what i should do.

i want a really small tattoo..and i have NO idea what i want..or even really where i want to put it.. i'm going to school to be an elementary school teacher so i dont want it ANYWHERE that people are going to see it...

I'm a big fan of Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged. I want to get a large representation of Atlas, the Greek god who holds the world/universe on his shoulders. All of the pictures I've found representing Atlas are of ancient statues and really aren't what I'm looking for in a tattoo. Underneath the picture of Atlas, I'm going to have the oath from the novel, "I swear -- by my life and my love of it -- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."
