So far I haven't been able to find an answer and the obvious solution is to ask an inker. I plan to when I have time. But, as far as cover-ups - I know that you can't just cover up any tattoo with any other one - but, is it possible to alter a portion of a tattoo. Not necessarily cover the whole thing up? I see what it is and it isn't complex or anything and I'm thinking there's a 50-50 chance it will work for me.

i am probably going to get a Polish Falcon tattoo in the inside of my right bicep to show my Polish heritage. the outside of my right bicep will likely be the American Eagle from the Harley Davidson logo. i was born and raised in the U.S., my father was born and raised in Poland and came over when he was 16, my mother was born and raised in the U.S. but both of her parents both emigrated from Poland.

I'm contemplating the idea of getting a navel piercing, but I was wondering if there are other places besides the tatoo ones to get it done (like at a clinic or at a Doctor's office) and also, how safe is to get a navel piercing? Meaning, if one's at risk of getting any kind of disease from the needles or whatever they use to do it. My husband keeps aking me to be careful about where I get it done because he read and heard that there's a risk of getting infected with anything by getting piercings.

This might sounds stupid. Is it possible to catch something ( any kind of hep or hiv ) from getting a tat? I want one, but dont know where to start as far as choosing a good artist and being safe with it etc.

I absolutely hate his tattoos. I am really embarrassed by them. Two of them are offensive I think. Well, to kids at least. I really want him to get at least one removed but he doesn't see that as an option. I seriously want to tell him that I do not want him to wear shorts around me. He actually got one a couple of months ago of medusa topless. It's hideous and disgusting. I can't even look at it. Any advice?

i was wondering if there are any dangerous health risks to getting a tattoo when you are over 70. my grandma wants to get a small tattoo but i am worried. she has talked with her doctor and i have searched online to see but the only thing i found was allergic reactions to latex and metal. i just want to know if anyone knows more about it. thanks.

My friends and i drank way beyond our limit after celebrating a sweet victory in an intense game of bowling. Needless to say 4 out of 5 of us woke up this morning with TEAM AWESOME, tattooed in a circle around our belly buttons. do you know how risky, expensive it is to get a tattoo removed? help, this is a really awful tat!

Okay so I am turning 18 soon and I want to get a tattoo for my birthday. I made a simple heart design I liked in paint shop pro but I'm trying to figure out what I would like to put in it.

I was thinking maybe my mother's name (she died many year ago). Her name was Lu.

I would like to know about how long the healing process is, Can you wear shoes and socks while it is healing? I work in a warehouse so closed toe shoes are required. Would a tatoo on the top of my foot result in a problem?

gettin my first tatt- a tribal half sleeve (from shoulder to above the elbow). HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?

A friend of mine recently got a tattoo and it's the most hilarious thing. It's right above her hair line and it's of a little old man pushing a lawn mower. Her clothing hides it so it's no problem I was just debating about doing something similar. I have really pale skin (the kind that freckles rather than tans) but I don't know if I should.

I asked a question about a hour ago where i should go to get my cartilage pierced. A mall kiosk and doing it myself are now out of the question. But now its between a doctors office((lame)) or a tattoo/body piercing shop. Which would be better for these two piercings.

Hi,
I recently got my second lobe peircing and have been wanting to get more piercings. I wanted to get a 3rd hole high in my left lobe and a cartilage next to it. There are a few tattoo (and body piercing shops I guess) around here but i don't wanna go there for something this simple. So do you suggest I do it myself or go to a mall kiosk or something?

I just got my 2nd tattoo 3 days ago. The artist told me to wait 2 weeks before getting in a hot tub or chlorine pool. What will happen if I do get in the pool? I'm actually having some minor regrets, so I'm wondering if the chlorine/pool will fade it, take it away, or half way fade it (and I'll end up looking stupid), or get me infected? Anybody ever gotten in a pool or hot tub too soon after getting a tattoo? What happened?

I HAVE BEEN TOSSING AROUND THE IDEA ABOUT GETTING A TATTOO FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS NOW. THE THINGS THAT STOPS ME FROM DOING IT IS THAT I DON'T REALLY LIKE NEEDLES AND I WANT TO BE ABLE TO HIDE IT WHEN NECESSARY. I AM NOT SURE WHERE TO PUT IT BUT I LIKE THE LOWER BACK AND THE TOP/SIDE OF THE FOOT.
