I absolutely hate his tattoos. I am really embarrassed by them. Two of them are offensive I think. Well, to kids at least. I really want him to get at least one removed but he doesn't see that as an option. I seriously want to tell him that I do not want him to wear shorts around me. He actually got one a couple of months ago of medusa topless. It's hideous and disgusting. I can't even look at it. Any advice?

If you think he can handle your comments then tell him. Maybe you and your BF can find a way to have them altered to look more acceptable to yourself and the general public.

That's one of the main problems with getting matching tattoos. It would be even worse if they had gotten each others names tattooed on their bodies. He could always have the tattoo re-designed. A good artist can take the existing tattoo and make it into something entirely different. I had a couple of tattoos that had faded out over time and I went to an artist who re-did both of mine. Go to a local tattoo shop and ask if they have, or can recommend a re-design artist. Some are only good at new ones.

In a relationship you need to accept each other 'uncondtionally' and it sounds like you don't really accept him the way he is...(yes there are certain things that someone needs to change) but tattoos is not one of them.
I'd rather be with someone that has ugly tattoos that knows how to treat, respect and love me than with someone that is perfect looking and a total idiot.
You need to look past what people think and love him for who he is or not be with him.

Sorry to say... no one has to ask another person whether they should get a certain tattoo or not... his body so he can do what he wants with it. If you can not handle his tattoos I would say dont go out with him. Because how are you going to deal with going out with him if you can not even handle looking at a tattoo. All I can think of is that you might hit bigger issues in the future about much more substantial things. Just a question but did he have any of these tattoos before he ever met you? If so I would say you need to grow up because you chose him with them you can not make him change and shouldnt want him to, you should be able to accept him just as.

tattoos are permanent, boyfriends aren't. so i suggest that you start looking for a new boyfriend. if he is still actively getting tattooed then obviously he isn't going to have any of them removed and he certainly isn't going to stop getting them. if he had tattoos when you started dating then you should have decided then whether or not you wanted to be with him. obviously you are at least on some level dating him with conditions on his appearance and his appearance doesn't meet your standards, so just break up with him and date a guy who hates tattoos just as much as you do.

either get him to wear clothes that are less tattoo revealing or end it.
you chose him with the tattoos. if he's good person , disease free, no other problems other than tattoos try to overlook it. you're a lucky girl esp since he isn't bothered by your opinions.
i personally hate tattoos and find any real tattoo repulsive .
tell him that you care about him but he has to do something about showing tattoos in public esp the one you described.

do you wanna look at it for the rest of your life......
if not, leave now, dont waste his or your own time. If he likes tattoos he will find a woman that likes them too, if you dont like tattoos you will find someone without tattoos too!
make yourself happy cos you are responsible for making your own life and in the end you cant blame anyone else for the decisions you made to live with something you are not completely happy with.

You know what its really none of your business what he gets tattooed on him its his skin and his body
if my bf told me to remove my tattoos id tell him to lump it or leave it
you cant tell people what to do
im sure he had some of these before you met him so what difference does it make

Yeah, I have advice.
Stop being so judgemental and close-minded.
It's his body and he'll decorate it as he sees fit. If you can't accept his choices, you clearly don't really love him.
If you spend all your time trying to change your partner, your relationships will always fail.

Change BFs. If he doesn't choose ot get rid of them, nobody can make him. If you marry him the tattoes will stare at our face for the rest of your life.
