Okay so I am turning 18 soon and I want to get a tattoo for my birthday. I made a simple heart design I liked in paint shop pro but I'm trying to figure out what I would like to put in it.
I was thinking maybe my mother's name (she died many year ago). Her name was Lu.

I like it, but remember it is going to be with you the rest of your life, so it realy shouldnt matter what we all think. But I think it is nice. I would get it if the same circumstances existed

Looks good to me especially because you designed it but if you find a good tattoo artist they would be able to put more insight into it for you.

it is cute! Make sure that the tattoo is something you want and be sure of it! Also, you can go to lacal tattoo parlors in your area and check out their designs- there may be something that you absolutely fall in love with!

If you have any reservations - don't do it. Wait until you have a design that you love and that you know is "right".
Tattoos come off a lot harder than they go on.

If you're not feeling sure, wait a bit.
For me, the perfect design usually just comes out of nowhere.

I think you should leave it blank for now. You can always put things in later (your Mom or your kids).

i like your idea. it's original and pretty,i don't think i've seen another heart like it. what was her favorite color? if it is one that would show up do her name in that color
