Any boney area would hurt more, so I'm guessing it would be more painful in the middle as the spine is there.

Which would hurt less will prob be the side. I have a tattoo of a cherry blossom which is about the size of a greeting card on my right shoulder blade. Now it wasn't painless.. but I am usually a wimp about pain...but it wasn't as bad as I thought. But pain is different for everyone.. everybody has a different tolerance. Back to the question.. from what I have heard plus with my own expeirence.. the center will be right on your spine which has many nerve endings...so that will prob. hurt more. Usually where you have the most fat or muscle compared to bone ratio..is the best. But I love my choice for my right shoulder blade....but it ends up being what you feel looks better...because it will be on you for life. I personally wanted to leave more room for more tattoos on my back.. by just doing it on one side. Hope this helps..and hope I didn't babble on for too long!

Over the spine will hurt more. I have a small tattoo (about 2.5x2.5) right on my spine and it hurt the most only in the very center. I was 18 at the time and the artist said he gets a lot of big biker guys that cry and he was surprised to see an 18 y.o. girl not cry at all. So, as far as pain, everyone's different.

do not hear to those human beings asserting don't get a tramp stamp or the rest it is unquestionably stupid. they might desire to enhance up! To me the midsection wasn't that undesirable. the factors harm me a sprint greater. I unquestionably have an fairly low soreness tolerance too and that i dealt with getting the decrease lower back tattoo. i replaced into so scared through fact i presumed it replaced into going to be so painful in spite of the fact that it fairly wasn't. it is not as undesirable as all and sundry say's it fairly is. If I dealt with it then everybody can! i'm a wuss while it is composed of soreness!

I have about and 8x10 tattoo right between the shoulder blades. It hurt! It was also my first one and I sat for 4 hours.
Go for a fleshier part. Go to the sides. If that's not to bad for ya, then maybe tackle the middle.

I have one over my spine between my shoulder blades. PAINFUL! I have another one on upper back set off to one side. It was a breeze. Any bony area or an area with alot of nerve endings will be SUPER sensitive. Just be sure you love what you're getting because it will hurt. Make it worth it. :) Good luck.

Depends on the individual.
For me it's the rib area.
For others it could be the spine.
Don't focus on the pain. Something
that large is just gonna have pain.
Talk to your artist...
