I want to get a breast cancer awareness ribbon tattoo, and I've thought I would just get it on my ankle because it's a safe spot, but I would like to put it over my heart or towards the top of my left breast, but I'm scared that when I get older, and my boobs start to sag, the tattoo would stretch and not look as good. Am I thinking correctly that I shouldn't get it tattooed in that area, or is there a safe way to place it?

fyi: I already have one tattoo on my left shoulder blade, and it wouldn't fit well with a breast cancer awareness ribbon, so I don't want to get it on my right shoulder blade...

and as one of the answers says, because it is a breast cancer awareness ribbon, I want to put it near my breast/heart.

If your boobs sag, you can get it touched up very easily. Given the message behind the tattoo, the breast is the best place.

Maybe they won't sag.

As far as I am concerned you don't really hear about tattoos towards the top of the breast stretching. The link that I posted in the source section mentions that it is a good area that generally won't stretch. However, if you would rather be safe than sorry I would go for the ankle or maybe even the shoulder blade. Hope this helps and that your tattoo turns out awesome!!!

I loveeeeeee this question!!!
I know exactly where you want to have the tattoo put on the upper chest.... I'm having one put there in the fall of the year.
NO,NO,NO.... it will not sag alone with the age problem... it will be well above the bulk of the breast, more on the flat area..
Some friends of ours owns a Tattoo Parlor and has been doing this for years... so let your worries diminish :)
I'm having the elephant head of Ganesha (Indian god figure) done and can hardly wait...
I also have one on the top of my left foot.... it's a bursting Sun with an awesome face... oranges, yellows, gold and rust... it's so pretty....

Good luck and God Bless :)

It could stretch out, but not to the point where it would look horrible. I think if you get it done a little higher up the chest.. like maybe an inch or two below the collar bone, it will greatly lessen the chance of it stretching out when you age. The problem with this is it'll be a little bit harder to hide if that's what you want to be able to do.

You could get it on your shoulderblade, over your heart. The odds of your skin stretching out on your shoulderblade are even less.

Just a thought, Hope I helped!
