I have 5 tattoos. It's fine to get them wet, i mean, you have to shower daily right? You just want to make sure you don't SOAK it for a long period of time. The tattoo will be scabbed by now so you dont' want to rub the scab off. When you dry off just gently GENTLY pat the tattoo. The tattoo goo is good but I use H2Ocean foam or spray. It works better, less messy and relieves the itching as the tattoo heals.
Your tattoo will not be in "trouble, or come off, or have less intense color, woever, it is an open wound so to speak so you need to treat it as such!

Hihi.. So a ways you probably did the correct factor and dont fear bout getting it rainy for the period of bathe.. Here are a few tattoo aftercare pointers.. Hope it'll aid you.. a) get rid of the dressing after at least two hrs b) wash the tattoo lightly with slight cleaning soap & hot water, making certain that you just get rid of the entire vaseline c) pat/dab the tattoo dry lightly with paper towels d) observe a small quantity of lotion a couple of times an afternoon as required e) an excessive amount of cream will harm the tattoo-watch out f) you may also bathtub or bathe along with your new tattoo, however DO NOT soak the tattoo in any sort of water g) salt and chlorinated water will damage your tattoo. So NO swimming in any respect till the tattoo heals h) the solar conveniently damages the ink now we have located into your dermis, so NO sunbathing i) in the event you wish your tattoo to seem well, you must preclude getting it sunburnt. The tattoo is "beneath" your dermis, so a tan will tone down the colors. j) USE sunblock always! Cheers Michelle

Well if you didn't soak them in the water that part would probably be okay (though not wise). It's the sun exposure and chemicals in the pool you need to be worried about. It can severly fade an unhealed tat. Just wait about a month so you know it's completely healed. If it's faded then go back to the shop for a touch up. You should pay for the touch up though.....Make that a lesson to learn for the next time.

Yeah it should be fine.
I was told to wash mine two hours after having it done. And to wash it 3-4 times a day for the frst few days. Just not to soak it.

I think the sun would hurt it more than the clorinated water in the pool. Call the shop and talk to your artist tomorrow. Ask them your question. They can get specific because they know the specifics of the ink they use.

I come home from the tattoo shop and wash mine with soap and warm water, then cover it with neosporin. The nice cool pool water shouln't hurt much, but I wouldn't do that just in case.

stay out of a chlorinated pool until it is completely healed!!! then when you do go in make sure to use a good sunscreen to keep it fresh looking

i think you would notice problems right away if there were problems with the tattoo after swimming. although i did hear that the clorine in a pool can cause dulling of the colors in the tattoo. so if you have a colored one it might look fifty years old in two weeks if you continue to do that. other then that if something was to happen i think you would have noticed already.
