Tattoos - March 2007

I am looking to get a piece done on my upper back, in black, with some shading, no color, can anyone reccomend some good shops or artists?

The report lists Smith's tattoos:

There is a pair of red lips in the right lower abdominal quadrant. Two red cherries are on the right mid-pelvis.

A "Playboy Bunny" is on the left anterior mid pelvis. The words "Daniel" and "Papas" are on the mid-anterior pelvis region.

A mixed tattoo on the right lower leg and ankle represents Christ's head, Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Holy Bible, the naked torso of a woman, the smiling face of Marilyn Monroe, a cross, a heart and shooting flames. A mermaid on a flower bed with a pair of lips underneath it lying across the lower back.

More questions re: tattoo's... surprise, surprise!?
I had a new tattoo Monday, overall I'm very, very happy with it. It's a large piece, and at the top the colour is predominantly a golden brown. It works, up close. The artist has done a great job, but when i see it reflected at a distance i can't help thinking it looks very blocky and needs to be broken up a bit. So (finally) i get to my question; Could an artist tattoo add brighter (preferably pink) ink over the brownish area (planning on a blossom type flower)? It'd work well with the design, I will go back to the shop soon to enquire, but until i get the time, i'm asking you guys. Thanks.

So, I got this a week ago and its horrible. And the only thing I hate worse than trendy tattoos are poorly done ones. I really hate how he colored it, so I'm getting it reworked as soon as its done peeling. So, how would you recommend the coloring be fixed. Ultimately, it'll come down to what my new artist and I decide, but I'd like to go to him with a few ideas.

ok so i am getting my 3rd tattoo...its a star with a banner around it and a short quote inder it in honor of my mother who passed away when i was 13 (im 21) the outline and the words are going to be black but i cant figure out what color would look good for the shading. i was thinking a dark pink/redish- orange for the shadowing and a lighter pinky-peach color for the inside...but do they even make those ink colors? my other ones have black, turquoise, magenta, purple and dark blue...no light colors..thanks guys!!

*and please spare negative comments and criticism about permenantly marking my body...if u dont like them then fine...dont get one!! for the record any sarcastic or negative comments will be deleted..thanks

I'm thinking of getting it on the small of my back (basically because when I get old and wrinkly I won't be able to see it!!) I don't mind if it's a nice looking fairy or an evil looking one! Not too big, but then again not too small! Has anyone any nice pictures of fairies they've seen? I've seen a good few, but none I'm crazy about

and have had babies does it stretch out a lot i already have tattoos and i want to get one the right side of my stomach but donw further kinda like where ur underwear line is but i want to have children someday and i dont want it to stretch out and look disgusting im just wandering if i should wait untill after i have kids??? any advice please thanks

I have a tattoo on my ankle that I've had for about 6 months now. It's a cross and I'm not too happy with it and I wanted to get a different shape cross put over it.
I was just wondering, it doesn't hurt more to get it done over does it?
I wouldn't think it did but I'm not sure what the affect of the ink on top on the ink does to the inside of your skin.
Has anyone ever had a tattoo redone that could let me know what to expect?

I have an idea of a tattoo I want and it will be one that will be added to over time, is this a reasonable idea? I don't want it to look like multiple tattoos, rather to always look like one tattoo.

I have a very formal wedding coming up and as the maid of honer i havn't been able to choose my own dress. As a result the dress that i have to wear doesnot cover the tattoos that i have on my upper arms. As much as i like my artwork i don't feel that it is appropriate to have them on show. I need a temp solution that is reasonably easy to apply and not permanant. If anyone has any suggestions then they will be greatfully recieved. Thanks

i think it would be really neat to get a small tattoo inside my bottom lip and i was wondering just how bad it hurt..i only have one tattoo on my shoulder blade and to me that didnt hurt at all hardly :) thnks

for you who have seen my tattoos, i have a question. i know that i need to put some spf on, BUT how do i just put it on my tat without it getting around like on the outside of my tat so i dont have just one big circle of untanned skin. you know what im saying? it will be hard to put the spf on the wings and my husbands name with the little bitty stars around it its almost impossible to just get the spf right on them without getting on the uninked skin, ok i hope i explained my question well enough. if not i will add some details..

ummmmmm soooo ok, im getting a new tattoo and im piercing everything! so i have a few questions, is this ganna hurt, i mean where the least painful place to put a tattoo????how much will this cost, i dont know what i want yet so someone please draw it up for me!!! i need the phone numbers to any place in alabama that can do it for cheap, im not concerned about health just the price! and how much should i tip them? should $7 be enough since tattoo artist are like waiters and depend on tips, i think a tattoo that takes 7 hours deserves $7! oh-muh-gah im soooo nervouse!. what will people think of me??? im not doing this for myself as you know! should i go swimming when i get it done? thanks for all the help you guys you rock!
