I have not seen your tattoo but I have a couple of them myself and I use sunscreen (a mild one) all over my exposed areas, not only on the tattoos, that's to be safe... if your tattoo covers a large area you might not want to expose it to the sun too long at all as your skin risks buring even with sunscreen; the tattoo traps the heat! Tip: sunbathe in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is not so strong any more if you wish that tan. It takes a bit longer, but it is safer...

I use an spf 30 lip balm at the tattoo... the talents is that not like a cream or spray, I can positioned it EXACTLY in which I wish it, and that is in which it remains.... I can hint my tattoo w/ the lip balm, and will not have brilliant epidermis round it... Otherwise, you'll be able to get splotchy w/ distinctive stages of sunscreen... You DO WANT to make use of sunblock at the tattoo, or the colours will fade

You are bound to have a circle of untanned skin around it, sorry. My ex had me put the sunblock stick on his back any time he had his shirt off for anything and even the stick is not precise enough to prevent the circle. I'm going to get spray tanned tonight, that's the only solution I can think of.

I have the same problem. I have a small tatt, and it is hard to make sure that I do not get the skin around it. I use spf 15 in a larg area around it. That way it does not look too pale around it.

Honestly, you should be using the sunscreen on all your skin, not just where your tattoos are.

Skin cancer is a very serious and scary thing. Protect all of your skin.
