Tattoos - March 2007

its up near his shoulders, he got it about 4 days ago and just today he started to break out almost like a rash all over his tatoo and up on his neck right above it.. is that normal? what is it? when will it go away? and is there anything he can put on it to make it not break out like that? any advice or anything you know to help would be awesome! thanks in advance.. =]

I pity you. Maybe you need to get out more and you would have realized I was joking. This question is aimed only at those who answered my last question (which was deleted) about what I should tattoo on my kitten, and chose to prove their gullability (if thats a word) by yelling (via capslock) or otherwise riduculing me. I actually said I was thinking about doing flames around the tail, a failed effort on my part to make you realize that it was a joke question. LIGHTEN UP!

I want a tattoo, and I have wanted one for a long time. I don't want something big but not sooooo small you got to squint. Just like, small. (It's my first and all). I love hearts, and stars, and flowers, and all that girly stuff. But I also love the japanese stuff. Like one that says "Happiness" or "Dream" or something like that. I would just like something danity and cute. Based off that, what do you think, what kind of things do you guys like. (Im just getting different ideas so maybe I can finally come up with something!) Also, WHERE!! I don't want it on my arm, or my upper back (like shoulder blade) I don't like that for me. I want it so I can cover it up when needed, but still cute. I was thinking my lower front belly, but when you get pregnant or add some weight.. won't it stretch out? Let me know your thoughts guys. Please? Thanks a lot!!!

Anyone know the guidelines for getting certified as a licensed tattoo artist in California? My husband is trying to get all his certificates in order so he can start working. Unfortunately though, none of the other artists that he has spoken too are not, nor have ever been certified (scary thought, isn't it). I was on the CA Dept of Health Web Page but they don't tell you anything (I typed in Tattoo for the search and got an article on bike helmets???). So, since I am now unhealthily addicted to yahoo answers, I was hoping someone here might be able to share the process, requirements and fees associated with accomplishing this.

I need a tattoo idea. I have recently overcome a trying period in my life (which i will explain) and want something to remember what ive gone through. Although it doesnt seem like a hard time to anyone else - I was suspended from college due to my grades which i had been lying about.I moved away from my school, to NJ (FAR AWAY) I am now fully on my own - all of my bills - and I'm doing well. I'm in the process of getting student loans and getting ready to go back to school. At the beginning of the whole ordeal I thought I wouldnt be able to do it on my own - but I came out on top and a better person because of it. As trivial as it sounds to others, its a big deal to me - and i would love something to remind myself of it, and be able to look at and know i paid for it with the money i made myself. Kind of like a big bragging picture

I'm going to get a new tattoo around my arm. I'm in the process of losing weight. Will losing a considerable amount of weight affect a tattoo I get on my arm? Or should I weight until I'm down to prepregnancy weight?

hi!

1. my bosses look at me whenever i try to put my sweater on. they see my tats on my leg and back! now when i try to talk to them they look like they lost respect 4 me. what to do???

I've been contemplating my second tattoo for years, the first just didn't have much meaning, and I want to be able to hide it for work. I finally decided that underneath my arm, right above my armpit would be really cute and discreet, but many of my tattoed friends have scared me, saying I'm crazy. I have a high threshhold for pain, but I don't want to get started and be unable to finish. Any suggestions or experience would be great.
