I want a tattoo, and I have wanted one for a long time. I don't want something big but not sooooo small you got to squint. Just like, small. (It's my first and all). I love hearts, and stars, and flowers, and all that girly stuff. But I also love the japanese stuff. Like one that says "Happiness" or "Dream" or something like that. I would just like something danity and cute. Based off that, what do you think, what kind of things do you guys like. (Im just getting different ideas so maybe I can finally come up with something!) Also, WHERE!! I don't want it on my arm, or my upper back (like shoulder blade) I don't like that for me. I want it so I can cover it up when needed, but still cute. I was thinking my lower front belly, but when you get pregnant or add some weight.. won't it stretch out? Let me know your thoughts guys. Please? Thanks a lot!!!

Before you choose an idea for your tattoo, make sure it's an image you've enjoyed for more than a year. You don't want to get tired of your tattoo after 5 years. I had wanted a specific tattoo when I was in high school, and when the time came to actually get it, I tamed it down a lot. I am so happy that I did because I don't think that I would have liked it today. If you are looking for a place to put your tattoo that can be covered, have you thought about the top of your foot or ankle? Those are both typical places, but for obvious reasons.

First off, the area around your ribs and sides would be most painful to get as would be your lower back. Yes it would stretch out if you get it on your lower belly during pregnancy. I'd advise to get something on your upper arm. I have two tattoos, one is a red heart with my son's b'day inscribed in it. The second one is a Hindu prayer symbol. You may want to look into a Japanese symbol that does mean "happiness" or "dreams" then get some cherry blossoms around it. That would tie both your likings of the "girly stuff" and all things that are Japanese. Also, make sure to get recommendations of the parlor before you plop down your hard earned dough

No one can tell you what to get. You will have to decide as you will live with it for the rest of your life. Think about it wisely then decide. Maybe even draw something up yourself.

There are lots of places to get one and still cover it up. You could do your inner wrist and it could be covered by a watch or bracelet. Ankles can always be covered. Top of your foot. Lower back.

I will tell you that on your lower front belly probably isn't the best place. Future pregnancies will stretch it out and stretch marks could distort it...also as you get older gravity will set in. It happens to EVERYONE regardless of your body shape.

Also getting one on your lower back DOES NOT mean that you CAN'T have an epidurial when in labor!

Anyhoo...those are just my personal options. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Good luck!

Think long and hard about a tattoo. This isn't marriage or a new car that you can trade in after it breaks down. It is something that will be ON YOUR BODY FOREVER! Trust me I thought it was "COOL" then now it is a mark that makes me remember that day of having a brainfart. Not only can geting a tattoo be stupid, but there are risks involved with geting one as well. IF and I mean a BIG IF, everything isn't properly sterilized or someone elses ink is used on you, You could develope hepatitas. This is not a curable disease. So thik long and hard b4 you have that mark for life put on your body. Also if you are a woman, DON'T get the "tramp stamp" on your lower back if you plan on ever having children.....you will hate your kids because you couldn't recieve an epidoral just because you had to look cool.

Well get the japanese word for happiness or dream and put hearts and stars around it. Better still don't get a tattoo till you know 100% want you want you'll only regret it in the end.

you sound like an orchid flower girl. check out the link. it's a beautiful flower with a hint of japanese flair. it would be a lovely design for your side to just get the top of the plant with the blooms and buds.

warning about getting stomach tat: where ever you are ticklish is where you will be most sensitive to get a tat.

good luck!

"When in doubt, don't" That is good advice in many ways, but especially if you are contemplating doing something that cannot easily be undone. If and when you are absolutely sure, go ahead. But, until then, wait. Don't set yourself up for a disappointment, regrets or tears.
