You can only receive O positive blood and your blood can be given to anyone. People with type O blood are universal donors. On the flip side, did you know that AB is a rare blood type and people with that blood type can receive all types of blood-O, A, B, and AB. I learned of this when I took my nursing classes.

Type O is universal, and it has both A and B antibodies and so it can give to either A or B blood types. However, it can not receive any blood from Type A or B, but it can receive from fellow Type O blood types.

A- Can Receive A-, O-
B+ Can Receive B+, B-, O+, O-
B- Can Receive B-, O-
AB+ Can Receive All Types
AB- Can Receive AB-, A-, B-, O-

Wrong category and yes, you can. When you go to give blood if you pass the screenings they mark your donation with your blood type. And if you ever need a transfusion they will give you o positive. The beauty of blood banks!

o positive can give to everyone BUT O negative. (someone who is positive for the rh factor can never give to anyone negative) you also can't recieve from everyone. I'm not sure exactly who you can't receive from, but I know you can give to everyone but O neg. AB positive is the universal receiver.
