dipping the needle in iodine will do nothing! just go to a professional place, you'll regret it if you get some scratcher to do it.

You have to have the right type of ink and using a tattoo gun by a professional helps. Sure you can use a sewing needle with thread wrapped around it, but so dangerous. Lets talk about sterilization..these will be tiny little holes in your flesh, germs, filth, bacteria among other things can get into your flesh while doing the tattoo...think about the infections you could get. A friend of mine got a couple homemade tatts and I'm sure she can share the pics of how the infection messed that area of her body up(like a nasty burn). Of course not all homemade tatts turn out like this, I have one that I got when I was a teen that turned out just fine, but now knowing the possible dangers of homemade tatts, I will never get one again. If you are wanting a tat, then get one done by a professional.

Yeah. Go to a professional. Home made tattoos usually end up looking like prison tattoos anyway.
Not to be disrespectful-but tattoos-if you want them to look good, should be done by someone who does them for a living.

the best safest way is to go to a professional. im not even gonna lie, there are so many things that could go wrong if you do it at home. even if you follow every precaution and sterilize everything, its still no where near as safe as if you go to an enviroment where they have equipment to steralize everything for you and use a new needle that hasnt been used before. and dont tell me not to not to do it, your the one who asked a question in a PUBLIC forum.

the safest way is to not do it at all, go get it done by someone who's been doing it for a while, and it will save you time and money

Go to a real tatoo place and get a tatoo you will want people would want to look at. If the person giving it were any good at tatooing, then why doesn't he do it in a shop. Obvioulsy not good enough!
