More questions re: tattoo's... surprise, surprise!?
I had a new tattoo Monday, overall I'm very, very happy with it. It's a large piece, and at the top the colour is predominantly a golden brown. It works, up close. The artist has done a great job, but when i see it reflected at a distance i can't help thinking it looks very blocky and needs to be broken up a bit. So (finally) i get to my question; Could an artist tattoo add brighter (preferably pink) ink over the brownish area (planning on a blossom type flower)? It'd work well with the design, I will go back to the shop soon to enquire, but until i get the time, i'm asking you guys. Thanks.

I would wait 30 days b4 evaulating what your tattoo looks like. also I think it is 3 months or so until touch ups can be done...ask your artist of course...

it goes without saying that darker colors work better going over lighter than vice versa.

just wait till its healed to see what its going to look like.

:)

It really depends on how dark the brown in, but putting pink over it won't really stand out. The pink could blend in with the brown and can look mucky if the artist isn't careful. Lighter colors won't cover darker ones.

I would definitely talk with the tat artist about what would be best.

Depending on how dark it is, it is possible. The person to be asking this question is your artist. I have seen many very beautiful coverups of darker tattoos, so it is possible. One can never have enough ink!

It depends on how dark the brown is, but I'm thinking no.

Tattoos are hideous.
That's not just my opinion. I am agreeing with God.
