i think it would be really neat to get a small tattoo inside my bottom lip and i was wondering just how bad it hurt..i only have one tattoo on my shoulder blade and to me that didnt hurt at all hardly :) thnks

Because the skin inside your mouth is different than other skin, inner-lip tattoos have a tendancy to fall-out.
Also, you want to make sure to find a very experienced artist for this. Since it isn't that common, there are plenty of guys out there who have been working for years and have never done an inner-lip. As it is different, you want someone skilled.
The perception of pain is personal - what hurts one, might not hurt another. No one can really answer that question for you.

Most artists advise against this as the ink "falls out" it wouldnt hurt per se but it would be annoyance as its very thin flesh. i would advise against this because the ink falls out and is can become foggy ink because of hte moisture in the lip i am not an artist but i know plenty of them if you want to go for it but the cost out weighs the qaulity it has nothing to do with the artist but just the naturual salvia not letting it heal and making the ink leak

I don't have one but I totally want one too get one. I know a couple friends that had it done and they said it doen't hurt to bad. The mouth heals pretty fast anyway so i think it's just the pain in the moment you have to really worry about.

bam margera and his fiancee got tat's on their inside bottem lips the other night on his show and his fiancee handled it with no problem but bam's looked like it hurt just a little. i assume it would feel like biting ur lip really hard and it can't be any worse than getting one on ur lower back.trust me that one is painful

i had it done and it lasted abot 2 years so unless you want to keep getting touch ups dont bother
