Tattoos - March 2007

My oldest son came up with an idea of getting matching tattoos while he's in from USAF tour. He wants us to design a family crest that portrays all we've been thru together. (we had a hard life, we conquered the past, our future is bright) I have 5 kids, i don't believe in tattoos but when he put it like that...I want to do this! The pain the tattoo will cause us while getting it will be symbolic of the pain in our past, the family crest will be symbolic that NO matter what life throws our way WE can over come it! I don't want mine to show so I figured on the top of my big toe. I wear a bikini in the summer so I can't think of another place to put it without causing me to PASS out in pain. lol My b/f hates tattoos, he has NO clue were going to do this. I figured he can't complain if it's on my TOE. Socks cover them! He could never understand the meaning of this tattoo, he had a good life. This is really important, all my kids will get this same tattoo, once they all reach 18.

im asking this in the tattoo category cause i have a feeling i will get some good answers over here. lol, but this is a serious question so take it seriously!
if someone breaks in your house and you shoot them, do you go to jail? my motto is shoot first ask questions later, i dont want to take a chance of some wacko doing something crazy to me.........so what happens? btw i live in a one bedroom appartment so theres nowhere to crunchdown and hide and get on the cell phone to call 911... (i live in alabama)

Hello Everyone. I had this perfect design for a tattoo and somehow deleted it off my computer. It is on a shoulder blade and it is an array of shooting stars with streamers coming off the stars. Any ideas for other tattoos would be great!

I am going to get an alchemical sun on my ankle, but the face will be very antique looking- not cartoony. I am looking for an artist that excels in symmetry and preferabley a woman, but a good tattoo artist is a good tattoo artist and I would accept a man, too. I have been scouring the web, but seek more info. Thanx so very much!!!

I want to get a tattoo on my upper back. I'm not extremely built, but I'm not chubby....all over. I have a little bit of a stomach that I plan to work on now that the weather is getting nicer. I do ab workouts everyday, I just need to do my cardio to burn the fat off. Would this effect the tattoo in any way? Again, I'm trying to work off my stomach, would that effect the skin on my upper back? Should I wait to get that tat, or will I be just fine?

I'm planning on getting a rather large tattoo soon, but it would be on my side and shoulder, quite possibly my hip as well. (don't worry, it's mostly just long ;) ) if I get pregnant will any of those areas stretch and distort the tattoo? I'm mainly conserned with my hips

my tattoo is on my neck to my mid back... and it just feels like it's thick (it's a lettering design)... my tattoo artist said not to use neosporin or A&D as it has petroleum jelly on it and it will ruin my tattoo... so i'm currently using fragrant free curel...
-do i have a premature scabbing??? is it normal?

I have not yet...but im planning on getting a tattoo on the inside of my foot/ankle....how would i shower without getting water on it?...what would be the best way to keep it from getting infected or something?

I have lost a bet and promised to get a tattoo on my *** to my dismay. I don't want anything huge and the only way I wouldn't regret it completely is if I have something humorous. I want something more original then what my friends have thought of such as "Your Name", "Your Mom", etc. Allthough those are the size and humorous ideas I was expecting I was just hoping that someone might have another idea.

I have a sword tattoo on my right arm and would like to have a shield tattoo on my left arm. Does anyone know of a good website to check out shields? They can be from D&D games, viedo games or something from a movie. Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I understand the different layouts on the flat shaders and magnums needles but i don't understand when u use one and not the other. What I'm getting at is how do u know wish one to use when filling in a tattoo (for coloring or shading). Please help thankz!!!

Will city's approve a traveling tattoo shop wheels(RV style) for weekend setups? I want to buy a RV storage vehicle and convert it to a tattoo shop and travel and setup at glamis or at city's that allow tattoo shops of course, But my question is will the city allow it if it's mobile and will the health department allow it as well?

My mom agreed that she'd buy my a tattoo for my 18th birthday (my b-day is November 10) and I'm very excited but I don't like a lot of pain. Some people have said that some spots hurt more than others...are there spots on your body that are the least painful?
