I got my first tattoo on my lower back. And it was honestly a lot less painful than I had imagined. No one can tell you if it's going to hurt you less, because we're all different.
As a rule of thumb- the closer to bone the area is, the more sensitive, places like your inner arm hurt too, your spine is supposed to be painful, ribs, etc.
Even if it hurts, the pain won't be -completely- unbearable, you need to make sure it's in a spot your comfortable with, while trying to avoid ribs, feet, etc.

First off. This question has no direct answer. Since you don't have a high tolerancy for pain, yeah, it's gonna hurt. I'm sorry, but if you already don't like pain, a tattoo isn't going to be a walk in the park for you.
Okay. Now that I got that out...
Places that have more flesh are gonna hurt less. Places closer to the bone are gonna hurt more...SUPPOSEDLY.
I'm 19 and I got my first one when I was 17. On my shoulder. Second one on my wrist. And my third on my ankle.
My shoulder one was a decent size, too.
The best advice I can say is once you see one you like. DON'T UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GET A SMALL ONE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID OF PAIN.
I got the size I wanted my first go around...and I was scared sh**less. No lie...I kept my eyes closed for like the first 10 mins. and I wouldn't move, breathe, or talk...lol
But after awhile, I became numb. You know why? Because your adrenaline will be pumping, and the endorphins have a "calming" effect.
I would say to get it on your lower back or shoulder.

Yes there are places that are more painful than others with getting a tattoo, the best places to get your first tattoo s on the upper arm like you was getting a celtic band or the best place is the lower arm between the elbow and wrist 1/2 way is best of all, Hope that is of some help

If your threshold for pain is low then go for slightly fattier or fleshier parts of the body. Areas like the spine, ankle, foot, etc tend to hurt a little more because the needle is closer to the bone. Also, stay away from the inside of the upper arm, since the skin there is very sensitive. Don't get tattooed if you are PMSing or on your period because skin tends to be more sensitvie during the time.
Also, you may not like pain but to some people tattooing doesn't hurt (I think it mostly tickles), so until you get one you won't know what you can and can't stand.

Out of the 5 I wanted, I chose to get my first one an inch above my ankle bone, on the inside of my leg, and it is fairly small. Took 5 minutes and the pain was pretty bearable; the only thing is you don't know what it feels like until you sit down and they start working. I chose there not only so it could easily get covered up, but also because that's some pretty tough skin right there. If you get one that runs $30-$60, generally those will not take long, especially if they are all one color.

Lower forearms. But not near your wrist because it would not be ,great for the joints along with the healing process. The healing process could be slow because you bend your hand to wright along with other uses. Having a Tattoo near your wrist may scar while it is healing because of bending your wrist.I used Tattoo Goo Instead of the ointment they had advised .Also you may have an reaction to tree tea oil. Becareful!

I got my first one on my upper back on my shoulder and it didn't really hurt. Then I got another one on my lower back and it hurt alot. But you should choose a place where you want regardless of the pain- it's not unbearable and you're going to have it forever.

Don't listen to those airheads, especially "FITOFHONESTY" who's a genius ONLY in her own dumb bleached blond mind and truly knows nothing about anything and is really a nobody; she loves giving advice to everyone but needs to work on her own head instead of getting a tattoo or piercing everytime she has a problem.
She's been around the block a few times(if you know what I mean).
Maybe she thinks that sleeping around makes you intelligent, but it only makes your body loose like a goose and don't forget about the STDs{sexually transmitted diseases}, no wonder she doesn't get infections with all the piercings and tattoos...she's on constant antibiotic treatment.
So do the right thing and don't follow an ignorant airhead like "FITOFHONESTY"

considering your pain tolerance is pretty low i would suggest getting one on your calf, upper back, or even arm since those are the thickest areas. The thinner the area the more it'll hurt.
Good Luck
