I really want a tattoo and have known what I want for a couple of years. However, the only thing stopping me is the image of a faded, blurry tattoo. If you've had your tattoo for 5-10 years, how has it held up to how it first looked when you got it?

1. Does it hurt alot?

2. If so how much, what does it feel like?

3. How do they do it with the needles

4. If I draw my own tatoos and recolor them with premanent marker, will it damage my skin or discolor it, or leave stains?

5. Is it possible to get tatoos removed?

hello all
i was curious about prices on tattoos. i know artists charge so much per hour
is that already added with the price of the tattoo or is it separate or does it all depend on the place?

I want to get a guitar tattoo with a cross in the guitar.. as if it were painted on it.. the guitar.. ahah.. and like.. idk.
I was having an interesting disscussion with a friend of mine and she said that there was something in the bible about not doing certain things with your body (piercings, tattoos, branding, etc.) b/c its like a disgrace to your body or something like that.. idk. but.. I want this tattoo b/c it shows the two main things in my life.. and I know that would never change.. even if i had like.. my hands chopped off somehow.. music would still be apart of me.. ahah..
so idk.
help?
what do you think ?
Would it be wrong of a christian to get a tattoo?

Just wondering approximately how long a tattoo I have planned will take to get done. I know I could enquire with a tattoo shop and they could give me a better idea, but throw some answers at me anyway.

Getting the word "peace" written on my wrist. Probably about 1.5 X 0.75 in. and just straight up plain lettering, all outline, nothing fancy. Any ideas?

I got my belly button pierced a few years ago, and I think the barbell that was used was cheap, thus it wouldn't heal properly and eventually I had to take it out. I also had my ears pierced and could only wear gold and such. I know that tattooing ink contains some metals, so I was wondering if there's a chance I'd be allergic to the tattoo itself? I've read it's rare, but because my body's so picky, I can never be too sure. Any help is appriciated. Thanks!

I've been wnting to get a pisces tattoo on my lower back for a while now. My husband doesn't want me to get one, but I do. I tell him that I want to experience something that my dad experienced before he died. He had 2 tattoos and I used to love to look at them. Is that a dumb reason to get one? I feel like it would bring me closer to him.

I got my navel pierced when I was 16, after about a year, I took it out because it was growing out, and was barely hanging on. When I was 19, I went and got it repierced, and this time, it took only 3 months to grow out, because it followed the old scar.
Now, if I got the bottom of my navel pierced, do you think it would grow out? do piercings grow out because your body is still growing? Or is just because you're body doesn't like them? I'm 22 now so I am done growing.
Thank you.

I already plan to get three tattoos even if he doesn't like it. But I would still feel better if he was okay with it as I am a daddy's girl. I'm getting one on my left hip, my right shoulderblade, and the small of my back. The biggest problem is the lower back tattoo, the tramp stamp. He is really against this and says if I get this I'm telling guys I'm easy. Have any good arguements?

It was shown to me and I was stunned - I was silent for 2 minutes. It is tribal-esque and the swelling was, err, significant.

Tell me what you think!!!

p.s. enough of the 'gay' stuff. Yawn...

I had my navel pierced in September. I have since lost 15 pounds. It was not done with a ring and now the barbell is turned to the side. Also it looks higher up on my belly then the origianl placement. Is it possible that the weight loss has stretched it out, and will it always stay over to the side? I can push it over to the other side and it don't hurt, but it goes right back to where it was. Please help. Also if you don't like piercings don't bother answering my question. Thanks :)

I'm turning 18 soon, and have wanted a tattoo for quite a long time. Eventually, I wish to tattoo around my lower leg as well, but I was wondering how much tattoos are looked down on in a professional world? I plan on attending med school, but I can't imagine that a tattoo on the upper portion of my arm or lower part of my leg could be a problem, as it could easily be covered (as far as I know.) I don't want a tattoo to be cool, or whatever, I just think they're beautiful works of art.
