I know you love your hubby.....but do you really want his name on you when (in a couple of years) you catch the lying bastard drunk in bed with your best friend or sister?? The most covered tattoo is names. Why not pick something that symbolizes your husband to you and have that tattooed on you instead. (If he's a fisherman, a fishing fly or lure tattooed on you would be cool). Then after you divorce him and take the cheating bastard to the cleaners; when the new boyfriend sees your tattoo he'll just think you're into fishing or lures ...... and you won't have to have his name covered. Your ex hubby on the other hand it going to find it hard to score with the hotties with YOUR name tattooed across his back.....

Just something to think about

I had been married for six years when I got my husband's name tattooed on my back (in a larger tat with my kids' names too). Even though my marriage is fine...I decided to make the name part of the tat coverable. His name is in a feather that can easily be filled in. I don't believe in superstitions, but I do believe that "forever" isn't always forever!

stupid, stupid, stupid, don't do it, never put your spouses name on your body, they die, they leave, what ever these days one in seven marriages ends in divorce, boyfriends and girlfriends breakup, chances are you will regret it at some point and time, and not only that, after you put one boyfriends name on you or your husbands, then all the rest of your boyfriends or future husbands will except you to put their name on you, and if you don't you will always here for the rest of that relationship, you don't love me as much as so and so, don't do it, One of my life long friends owns a tattoo shop and she always trys to talk her clients out of doing it. and if you do decide to go through with it, make sure it is small, so that way you can always get it covered up later and no one would ever know it was there!!

My Husband has my name on his back and I have his name on my back. I can now honestly say we are always on each others back!
Ok that was corny however ....
I don't think a tattoo has anything to do with how well a relationship works out.

I am so tired of people saying not to get a tattoo of your spouses name out of fear of divorce! If you are that unsure of your marriage, you shouldn't get married!! The only reason to not get your spouse's name tattooed on you is because you don't want to, not fear. I have had my husband's name on me for 12 years now and he has mine. No curse, in fact he is absolutely my best friend and I never want to know what life is like w/out him. And yes, I know he's not perfect and he knows the same about me. We CHOOSE to stay together out of love and committment.

I already have an ex b/f's name tattooed on my body, and I totally regret it, won't go into details about why we're no longer together. It's costing me five times as much to get that ink covered up as it did to get it put on. I will never get my husband's name tattooed on me, I love him so much and he understands why I won't get it done.

don't do it......I believe the curse from experience. If you're questioning the curse or the superstition maybe you're questioning yourself if you really want it. I wouldn't get it unless you're 100% sure, with no questions.
Me, I wouldn't have gotten the name on me had I heard about the curse before hand.

I have my ex husbands name on my butt. We have been divorced for 11 years and I still have not got it covered. Its on my butt I never see it. My new husband says he will pay to have it covered. I am going to get a red VOID stamp to cover it. I am going to have my new husbands name put on me someplace. If something happens I guess I will just have it covered too.

My wife has my name tattooed on her, and she wants me to get her name tattooed on me. But i have this hang up about getting names tattooed on me, i always think bad things will happen. I keep telling her that her name has always been tattooed in my heart so I don't need it tattooed on my skin.
