if your tatoo artist didn't provide you with the proper care instructions for your tatoo i would seriously think twice about returning to them for follow up work or recommending them to friends. in the future, make sure your tatoo parlor is clean and hygienic and ask for proper care instructions prior to going under the needle. - i let myself be inked by a gentleman by the name of "hubba" in seattle, custom design, no blood, scabbing, peeling, cracking or any other issue that can arise with fresh tats.

This may sound a lil weird but it worked for me. I have 2 tats, the first one I got in Cancun and someone told me to use Preparation H. I know it stanks but it works! It healed so fast and itched a little. If you think about and read the back a Preparation H tube it shrinks it cools the itch. My ink still looked perfect!!! Make sure you wash your hands before and after you apply. Don't use lotion at all it can mess up the color! Neosporin and A&D is just as good1

no. the best thing to use is stuff called auqafore you can get it in the lotion section of most drug stores. it comes in a little bowl looking thing with a screw on top. peeling and cracks are normal. and just slop it on.

I used Curel for my tattoo and also a product called Tattoo Goo. I had a little peeling, but not much. Curel is a 24 hour moisturizer.

Your suppose to use Neosporine on it everyday three to four times a day after you wash it with antibacterial soap...once it starts to scab you stop and then you use a dye and fragrance free lotion for two weeks after that.

Once your healed you need to loose a sunscream on it to keep it from fading when your in the sun.

Do not use vasiline

I just got mine a month ago..and just went thru this...above is according the healing instructions sheet they gave me when I got it.

and don't listen to those who tell you to keep it covered..your not..it has to hair out and heal.

No, do not put lotions but put Aquaphor. You can buy it at Savon.
