I think that Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter is a liar. She didn't really die in the bathroom because of the Basalisk. No one else ever pays attention to her, and you know how sneaky JKR can be.

1. Moaning Myrtle wears glasses, and if she had seen the Basalisk through the glasses she wouldn't have died just like that. Some say she took them off because she was crying but if she wasn't wearing them when she died they would not have shown up on her when she became a ghost.

2. She knew what Harry, Ron, and Hermione were trying to do in that bathroom all day long, but she never gave them clues or said anything about it.

3. She said that she saw a great big pair of yellow eyes by the sink, but aren't Basalisk eyes red? Yellow eyes seem more like Voldemort eyes if you ask me.

She's also sort of been forgot about, but I'm sure she will turn up again. Any comments on this??

Thanks!!!

It is about a boy that is born in a world where eveything you see is in black and white ...Well anyway this young man is to become the chosen one because he has gray eyes (blue) and he finds a baby that had blue eyes that they are going to kill. he tries to save the baby and realizes that its no use and they die. there is alot more to this ....But I can't seen to remember. I read this in 8th grade. A long time ago!

It's hard to write my story. I know the story in my head but filling in the gaps- the everyday normal stuff that happens in between the big scenes- is difficult. I need to do a lot more to build the connection between my character and the reader but really all I want to do is hurry up and get to "the good part" of the story. How do you writers out there summon the motivation to get it done when you are faced with the less exciting parts of your work?

Does anyone know any good books that have good character analysis, and an in-depth plot? I like Jane Austen's literature, and I also like a book called Flipped by Wendelin van Draanen.
Can anyone recommend books similar to these?
I am twelve, so books similar to those genres and literature styles are good, too.
Thanks,
SW

I dressed up as Hermione last time, and my best friend dressed up as Dobby, and I had a SPEW badge on. I still have the costume, and I do sort of look like Hermione, but I was wondering if anyone had better suggestions.

I've always been under the impression that first edition printings of most hardcover books have that cool deckled fore-edge, where the pages look handcut and uneven. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this or if the deckled fore-edge is just an aesthetic choice?

I have written and shared many of my short stories and people who read them actually think they are quite entertaining and some will ask me for more stories, I am prone to writing down certain thoughts and events and later turn them into some sort of written story, so how can I get this all published or get an agent to arrange a story line?

As someone who really has no background on the bible at all, how do I go about studying it?
Also I'm a recent LDS convert so I would appreciate some help on the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price.

I want to start my historical fiction novel; I'm itching to write it because I've got so many ideas that my head might just burst.

However, I haven't quite finished the research part of it yet. My background is in history (received a bachelor's degree in history, too) so I do have a general idea of what the time period is like (late 19th century England). Should I continue with the research or do the research as I go along?

Any suggestions for this first time historical fiction writer?

Who do you think JK Rowling is going to kill off in her final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows? You can put in as many names as you can suspect will not make it through.
