Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie
Major spoilers ahead. The whole thing was planned by Simon and Jacqueline. They killed Linnette and the others by playing off each other. Simon shot himself in the leg making it appear as if he had an alibi for the murder, when in fact, he had time to kill Linnette.
The Suchet movie was pretty good with some plot changes. The Ustinov was rather overdone.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK!!!
I would suggest reading the book to find out and yes, they do catch the murderer (which happens to be guy and his girlfriend).
