Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author of all time...I like any one of his books but I would probably have to say that A Bend In The Road is one of my favorites because it depicts the struggle of a young father coping with the loss of his wife unexpectedly, while trying to raise his son who has a learning disability....he draws ideas from the real life experiences he had with his son, Ryan who might have been autistic, but the doctors were never able to pin down exactly what disability he had.

Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite writer. I have a collection of his work--poetry and prose. He's the father of horror!

I have many favorite books:

"In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote is excellent--based on a true story--and expertly told with chilling detail.

"The Chancellor Manuscript" by Robert Ludlum is an exceptional tale. Leaves you wondering if it could all be true!

"All That Remains" by Patricia Cornwell is best read by listening to the unabridged audio version. You'll never forget it, trust me!

"The Lincoln Room" by Valerie J. Patterson weaves ghosts with history and murder. An exceptional piece of fiction from a new writer!

My favorite author has to be Dean Koontz...

...out of his books I will say that Watchers is the best!

It has all the wonderful elements that make a fiction novel so fun to read: horror, suspense, humor, love, and a happy ending...

...a very well rounded book!

Sharon Creech and all her books. Great description. They're a little on the small side, but you never know what's going to happen on the next page.
