I have heard that it is I have heard that its is not. I have been forbade to read the books from my parents but I am 18 now and have done it anyway! I was wondering what you guys thought! And if harry potter dies in the last book as I guess he will for the good of the world...then comes back to life does that make it a christian book! I saw a quote from rowling saying “Rowling initially was afraid that if people were aware of her Christian faith, she would give away too much of what's coming in the series. "If I talk too freely about that," she told a Canadian reporter, "I think the intelligent reader — whether ten [years old] or sixty — will be able to guess what is coming in the books."”
What do you think?

Frankemstein-Mary Shelley
Andromeda Strain-Michael Crichton
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings-Maya Angelou
Mythology-Edith Hamilton
The Good Earth-Pearl Buck

Why do some christians believe that the Harry Potter books teach evil things or that the author JKR is against Christianity? When they haven't even read the inside flap that explains about the story or watched the movies, they just asume it's evil, I mean they don't even know what it's really about. I'm Christian and I don't see where it is a threat to Christianity. There are plenty of other books that are far more worse than Harry Potter. It is a FICTIONAL book meaning everything is made up. I just don't get it. Please will someone fill me in on something that just doesn't make sense to me?

Ok, I know I am a little behind, but I am currently watching Season 1. I am fascinated with Locke, but can't figure out if he is a good guy. He seems like it them he'll have some weird supernatural moment. Since most Lost fans have now seen through Season 3, go ahead and ruin it for me. What's his deal (don't have to give storyline detail, just bottom line.)? Anybody else that may have more than meets the eye (I know, all of them, but anyone especially shocking)? Thanks!!!

I read the first chapter so Eclips the third book in the series but I dont know if it is going to be up to par with the rest of them. I fell in love with Edward and was pretty sad he was barely in the second book (New Moon). But it was interesting to find out that no vampire power can work on Bella. So my question is: What do you think the new book will be about and which character is your favorite? Do you think Bella will be changed into a vampire?

I am trying to find out more facts about publishing a book. Have been told that the author only gets a very small percentage of the selling price per book, is this true and if so are there other more cost effective ways to publish for example Internet publishing.

I am thinking of writing a book on faith and belief, that has sources from many religions. has this book already been released on a different name?where should i get it edited and published for a not so expensive price? I am 15 and really want to do the research and writing that comes with making a book. Please leave sources if you have them.

I'm an aspiring novelist. My genre is fiction. I was thinking of hosting a website where after reading samples of my works people can pay maybe $5/$10 (very reasonable) to read the work in it's entirety. How many of you would be interested in this? How many would actually pay for this if you found the works interesting?

I just moved to a new area and our public library is awful. The variety consists of some Ann Coulter trash along with a bunch of Nora Roberts paperbacks. Who decides this? Can I write someone to get more variety here?

I like the Pendragon series. I read them all, so I'm looking for something new to read. If anyone could give me any ideas for reading material, I'd love it. Anything along the lines of Pendragon type books, or Harry Potter I guess.

Thanks
