As a professional writer, your question makes me giggle. I do dishes, laundry and housework and frankly, I suck at it. It is a neccessary evil that pulls me away from doing other things (things I'd rather be doing like writing.)
My take on housework is life is so thrilling and there's so much to see, do and report that the mundane functions seem to pale by comparison.
I write a news column locally and I am working on my first novel. Until about a year ago I wrote public relations copy for a large city government.
Fortunately, my sig other is more organized than I am and he helps with the tasks that keep our home occupant friendly.
Thanks for making me giggle. That was fun.
Think I'll wash dishes sometime today and remember this question while daydreaming over the suds.
Then again, maybe I can con my honey into doing the dishes. I'll write him a poem telling him how much I love his presence in my life, how much I appreciate him being an evolved male who is not afraid of dishwashing liquid...By the time I get done buttering him up, he'll wash the dishes.
Actually, that would be uncool, I'll do 'em - today. I can't promise him tomorrow.
When I'm on deadline for the paper, things get done sporadically, but they get done. We, writers, don't want to live in filth, ya know?
(besides, dust bunnies make horrible pets)
lol, have a great day.

More than 95% of the writers out there don't even make enough money writing to do it full time-- they have to have day jobs to pay their bills. Those writers probably aren't hiring any help! Writers are like actors. A few of them make huge sums of money, but the vast majority are working, struggling, and learning their craft every day while living relatively normal lives.
Writers are just ordinary people. Don't build them up to be something they aren't. They are just folks who have a particularly gift.
I write professionally, although it isn't my only job, and I still have to do my dishes and laundry. Otherwise, I would run out of clean clothes and silverware really quickly! I'm no different than anyone else.

I know a lot of writer's. Most of them do cook when they can afford food. You will meet many at Laundry mats. Ok, maybe that's extreme, but most writer's are normal people who live normal lives, they do laundry and cook and change dirty diapers. People have this misconception of King as an average writer. He isn't, he's exceptional. Many might be firmly middle or upper middle class, but they are by no means jet setters.
A lot of writer's have other jobs. They are journalists, or lawyers, or Housewives. They have publishing houses, or are university professors, or historians or something else.
Even King occasionally takes out the trash for his wife and loves to sit on the back porch with friends drinking Lowenbrau. It's nothing like being an actor, people don't recognize you on the street and you are never mobbed on a jog by paprazzi while you jog. It's the best of both worlds, your famous, but you have your privacy, too.

Probably no longer however neither did the Kennedy's, the Clinton's nor the Obama's. They had been all rich earlier than going after the presidency. They ought to be for the reason that it fees such a lot cash to run for President. I recognize Michelle continually has had her mother caring for her kids and he or she had a individual instructor at the same time dwelling in South Chicago. So these kinds of folks are natural and realistic elitists however can they run the nation and get our economic climate relocating is the query. I think for the reason that Ann Romney has needed to manage Breast Cancer and now dwelling with MS she will have to get a holiday from the hateful Left. That on my own is a rough avenue to hoe........

Are you looking for a way to get out of doing your chores? hehehe
Since the majority of writers are NOT at the level of a multi-bestselling and/or Pulitzer Prize winning author I would assume they clean their own houses. In fact, with the emerging market of Mom writers (women who freelance while being Stay at Home Moms) I am sure they not only wash dishes but change dirty diapers too.

Depends if you're one of the multi-billion dollar sellers or not. Me, I'm just starting out, but I know a lot of writers who have to do their own laundry or stuff. We're normal, just like everyone else. Actually, I get my best ideas while washing the dogs and pruning the roses.

what writers are they?
they have to eat and clean house, and do laundry just like anyone else--how do you think they know how it feels when they write about it in their books?
The only reason I can find for NOT doing my own housework, is that my husband will do it--NOT, or I'm making so much money on writing that I can afford to have someone "come in"--NOT, or I'm just not physically able to do my own work--luckly this is also a NOT--
There are not many writers who do make any money, a few that make enought to quite their day time job, but still have to WORK at writing to just put bread on the table, and a very very select few who can actually say-- I have someone come in to do the weeding, and ironing--

I'm sure most writers don't have enough money to hire somebody to do their housework. Not every writer is J.K. Rowling.

I would imagine someone like Stephen King has someone doing a lot of his work for him, but it really doesn't pay all that well unless you've got a few bestsellers to your name. Most do their own work.
