I like the Pendragon series. I read them all, so I'm looking for something new to read. If anyone could give me any ideas for reading material, I'd love it. Anything along the lines of Pendragon type books, or Harry Potter I guess.

Thanks

You could try David Eddings. He has written heaps of books in the fantasy genre - they have the whole quest, magic, thing going on. I really enjoyed them, and the characters are quite funny.

There are a number of series he has written (The Belgariad, The Mallorean, The Elenium, The Tamuli).

If you want to try something a bit different, I also enjoyed the Tales of the Otori series by Lian Hearn.

Read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" by John Perkins.

Keep an open mind, this book is not for people with dug in political beliefs.

Secondly while the book is written well it is the authors first try so it may be a bit dry.

In fantasy, read anything by Stephen King.

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan is awesome. It's long (11 books in the main series and still counting, as well as one in the prequel series).

Another one I've always enjoyed is The Belgariod and subsequent series by David Eddings.

I have just bought Eragon as I have heard its very good and I recommend Dune by Frank Herbert....it can take a while to get thur as you constantly need to refer to the appendicies, but its an excellent read as are the next 2 in the series, but I found the next one a bit silly.

The Eragon series is ok. The hobbit and the Lord of the rings should be read if you have not done so already.

You might like the Kite Runner. My grandson read it once for school and twice for pleasure.
