Whether female Orcs exist is raised, but not definitively answered, in Wikipedia: In part, it says:

"The origin of Orcs is an open question. In Tolkien's writings, evil is not capable of independent creation, making it unlikely that the Vala Morgoth, who was obviously the first to produce them, could do that ex nihilo.

Unlike the orc-néas ('orc-corpses') of Beowulf, no female Orcs are ever mentioned by Tolkien in any publication. However, in the published Silmarillion it is stated that Orcs "breed after the manner of Elves and Men", implying that there are; in The Hobbit the Orc Bolg is the son of one Azog, while Gollum is described as having eaten a young Orc child ("goblin-imp") shortly before he first met Bilbo. Tolkien confirms in a letter that female Orcs did exist."

Orcs don't breed. There are never baby orcs either. I forget the details but they were created by an evil wizard so they are created full sized. In The Two Towers there's a scene where they show one of the Isengard orcs being 'born' out of the ground and a smaller orc opens the placenta like sack that it's in and the first thing it does is reach out and kill the smaller orc.

Edit: Orcs were made of stone and slime through the sorcery of Morgoth ("bred from the heats and slimes of the earth" — The Book of Lost Tales, Vol. 2).

There are no female orcs, anywhere. Orcs are creations of Sauron. They were created by twisting and distorting elves. Even in the book it makes no mention of Orc culture other than the tribal rivalries and viciousness. The special Uruk-Hai Orcs of Saruman's army were apparently Orcs combined with Humans in a attempt to make even more power Orcs.

As you can see in the movies, the orcs were never created through breeding, they were created by what used to be elves that came to darkness. And in most cases when you see an army its going to be 99.99999999999999% men anyways. But also movie wise it would seem alot more frightening to see big, muscular male orcs (but if you watch the Extended DVD interviews you will see that there were females who played the orcs under the make-up)

Orcs are elves and whatnot that went bad. There are no females because they didnt become evil like males do. Just kidding. Love the movies never thought of that.

Because Tolkien didn't write a modern work. He had a Victorian male upbringing.
