Who do you think JK Rowling is going to kill off in her final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows? You can put in as many names as you can suspect will not make it through.

Rowling said, "One character got a reprieve, but I have to say two die that I didn't intend to die. We are dealing with pure evil. They don't target the extra's do they? They go for the main characters."

This must mean that at least two main characters die...at least two of the "good guys."

My money is on Snape being one of them. If he is good (and I think he is), there is no way he can return to the wizarding world after killing Dumbledore.

The other could be one of the Weasleys...there's a whole bunch of them. Maybe Percy, he's expendable.

Hagrid would be a good bet. He'd give his life to save any of Harry's group or others from Hogwarts. I hope not though. Another thought, it could be Hagrid's brother. He's not really a main character though.

I don't think Harry is going to die, mainly because of the news of the Harry Potter theme park being built. It will open about the time the final movie is released. I just don't believe that they'd make a theme park and the main character is a dead kid.

Wanted to add that, of course, Voldemort will be dealt with. Thought it was obvious, so I didn't include him in my musings.

Well, honestly, in children's books, the hero never dies, so Lord Voldemort will most likely die (unless J.K. Rowling CHOOSES to defy instict and outrage tons of fans). Also, Peter Pettigrew, Bellatrix Lestrange, Draco Malfoy, and possibly the two Weasely parents may die. I suggest reading " Mugglenet.com's What will happen in Harry Potter 7? " - it's a good read for Harry Potter Fans out there, and there are a lot ideas of who will die and why. Hope this helps!

When JKR talked of 2 dying, I think that is apart form the obvious Voldemort

1/ Draco's Mother !!!
if she is killed for forcing Snape (the vow) to disobey Voldemort, she may be killed. That would make Draco and Bellatrix become traitors to the Death Eaters and help Harry find those missing Horcuxes

2/ (I don't like to say this but ... ) Ron Weasley
Too many people are not fighting beside the Order. Ron's death may bring:
Percey // Charlie // Hermione (more savagely) // Dumbledore's Army // Gryffendors ... and anyone else who thinks "Weasley is our King"
(although, he may be mortally injured, but saved to be the one reprieved)

3/ If Snape is good, he will have to die ...
... for the same reasons Dumbledore had to. Harry can't have help right there where Voldemort is - the hero has to go on alone.

Harry Potter & Voldemort will die battling each other.

Ron Weasley will appear to be vapourised but will in fact be sent back in time as Ron will grow up to be Dumbledore. This will explain some of the characterisations and similarities between them and why Dumbledore takes such an interest in Harry.

JK Rowling has already said that Harry, Ron and Hermione were not dying.

I have it from an unverified source that the person who is going to die is actually the reader. Apparently Rowing has laced the final two pages of the book with anthrax. I bet this is gonna surprise quite a few readers.

He dies in order to kill Voldemort, but comes back because he just kills the part of Voldemort's soul that is inside him. He then goes on to marry Ginny Weasley and has 3 kids; James, Lily and Albus Severus.

Obviously Voldemort can't survive, if she's only doing 7 books. I would also have to say that I don't believe that one of the weasley's will die also.
