Christianity believes that God is omnipotent.
If God is omnipotent, life is determined.
If life is determined, then there is no free will.
If there is no free will, then no one is morally responsible.
If no one is morally responsible for anything,
Then, no one is morally responsible for the life of another human being.

I was wondering what kind of paint Bob Ross uses so I can start painting soon. I think it's oil paint but I'm not sure if it's his own special brand and if it is readily available at my local "Michael's" art store. ALSO, what would I use to clean my brushes during painting? Odorless paint thinner like Bob did? If anyone could tell me what kind of paint it is, where I could get it, and what would I use to clean them it would be appreciated. Thanks!

I painted a piece of wood furniture... primer then 2 coats of interior semi gloss enamel then the detail work with acrylic paint on top of that. It has been roughly 3 weeks since the second coat of paint and it is still tacky. Is there a clear coat that can take care of this problem? There is no possible way I could let this be a waste... it's too pretty and I love it. Somebody help please. Thank you.

I can barely remember any details, but it's a short science fiction story, and from what I remember the style was rather similar to the beginning of the science fiction story in Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin. Anyways it's about these beings (I don't know if they're human or not) and they land on this planet and discover these memories of past human life there (I'm pretty sure its in a house?). Thank you for your help. I wish I could remember more.

I heard a question a little while ago and it got me thinking. The question was 'If you could ask god one question, what would it be?'. Now this question is deceptively simple, because 1. you are allowed to ask only one question and 2. once you had asked your question you would not get a second chance. Think about it, if you got a chance to ask a question of someone who knew everything, only one question ever, and you asked a stupid question you would have to live the rest of your life wondering what you could have found out, what secrets you could have known.

So my question is, If you could ask god only one question ever, with no limits on what subjects or secrets could be the topic, what would be your question?

P.S.
For any atheist or person who does not believe in a single deity, please replace god with any other concept you wish. PLEASE DO NOT say that you do not believe in god so therefore you can't answer, you will only waste everyone’s time and your answer will not be considered.

Thanks.

Wikipedia says this as a definition of "definition" (heh...):

"7. Clarity of visual presentation, distinctness of outline or detail."

(Examples:)
"The definition of a telescope."
"Improve the definition of an image."

Okay, well, if that's what one definition of the word -definition- is, for images, then how is resolution different, since higher resolutions are what produce higher clarities of pictures?

Or has the Wikipedia left something out, and therefore is definition not just resolution, but also about color depth and contrast range and things like that?

But wait! If it were about color depth, then would that be saying that a B/W picture has lower definition than a full-color picture, even if their resolutions are exactly the same?

Oh, and the definition of a picture wouldn't include ALL kinds of clarity, would it, because then you'd have to say that if the lens was out of focus, there was less definition, too, right? And that wouldn't make sense, would it?

Really now, what I'm asking for, are a person or persons, or events of any kind whose experience of a tragedy of any kind, which so profoundly saddend you, that you were almost paralyzed with sorrow.

It can be something that happened to you personally, to some one you know or know of, an actual historical event, an action or scene from a play or film, involve one individual or thousands.

The important thing is, that it really effected you to such an extent, that you can honestly say it was by far, the most profoundly saddest experience of you life.

Please, proceed.

When did the middle east first start understanding and reacting to the troumendous oil reserves under the region and creating millionaires than billionaires from this accident of nature and so on? Was it the invention of the automobile that was the main driver of the world's initial thirst for oil? Which would mean, i guess the middle east and oil issues started to come to the world stage in the early 20th century? Or was oil in high demand before that?--eg, in the industrial revolution? Were the reserves there some of the first exploited? Or was there a significant time period where other reserves were the main ones and geologists had not yet discovered the oil there?

Autumn Is Here

Never mine
to hold,
it soon
ran its course,
faded, then
disappeared
exactly as feared,
without
so much
as a word.

youth,
like jet stream,
made passage
with little ceremony.

I was caught
unaware,
how hard
it would be
to let go
of that identity.

Memories
of spring,
and warm,
summer days,
still have a life
of their own
but the young girl is gone.

Autumn
is now here
in my eyes,
and winter waits
behind them.

I recently paid $20 on the internet to Genealogical Research Institute for an investigation of my ancestral heritage. They told me I am descended from the princely Russian family of Tossoff, whose motto was: "F_ck or f_ck off!". But my name is Bottomley and, as far as I know, we've always been farmers in Frisby. What chance do I have to get my money back?

Okay, so I used to have a copy of some poem, I can't remember who it was by, or what it was called, but I remember parts of the poem:

The best were called, were called to war
Were called to do the Nation's chore
To sacrifice their youth, their lives
And lose their health in National strife

I don't really remember any more, but can anyone tell me who this is by, or what it is called, or ANYTHING???
