Hi. I'm 15 and I love history. In the future I wanna do something related to history. I'm actually considering becoming a history teacher. The problem is, I don't know if they make a lot of if the people I teach will appreciate the subject as much as I do.

My dad says that there will always be a group who'll love history and hell with those who don't like it.... it won't matter coz' your doing what you want.

I have my doubts though. I need a lot more convincing. What do you guys think? What should I do?

Science has logic, reason, measurement, proof and experiments. Theories can be postulated then backed up with solid data. Evidence is searched for and analysed. Knowledge is slowly but steadily built up.Tiny accretions accumulate in layers to build solid bulwarks of unassailable fact. Yes there is debate, discussion, opposing theories, but the main thrust is mutually constructive and collaborative.

In the absence of empirical evidence does philosophy always involve arguments and end up being messily subjective?
How do you calibrate or measure what comes down to a matter of opinion or interpretation?

I wear a poppy on Remembrance Day to honour Canadian soliders who have served and died for my country.
I've place it on my left lapel of my jacket.
Is there an etiquiette for wearing a poppy for men? Is there a proper way to wear it?

Why read, it gives me a headache and a stiif back. Why not just watch TV or a movie is better than reading. Its so boring! I mean its better to watch Television(more enjoyable) or a movie, less time to waste. Pictures move around but words don't. All you do is look at a bunch of words and nothing.

OK I want to write a story about a girlfriend and boyfriend who have a great relationship, about 16-17 years old. Then the girl finds out that the boyfriend is cheating on her and she commits suicide because she can't stand the pain. I have the whole idea but i just don't know how to start it?

You might think that this is a silly question but it has been going about in my mind for quite sometime. Just think, what would've happened if humans did not exist? Would it effect the space, time, universe or anything? I don't think so. Are we just made to grow up, earn mney, fame n name, increase the popoulation and then die? Why don't they sell the book "The Four Musketeers" anymore? I heard of its existence, but that it is not sold anywhere now-a-days. I really liked the Three Musketeers and would love to read this sequel (yes, I know about the Man in the Iron Mask, but would rather read the Four Musketeers if I could get my hands on it). Does anyone know where I could find it perhaps? I tried ebay and couldn't find anything...

I have been curious as to what can define to be reasonable interpretation of a historical events? Like what gives the author of history books the authority to tell us what to read about that event? My teacher told me that it is unbias account to it but I didn't believe her. Thanks for the help
