Gabriel came to a running stop in a forest clearing close to my house. After Gabriel had placed me down on the grass, he carefully folded in his wings. I had just enough time to smooth out my hair, before I felt wind on my face; the tree green combine into a mass of dim brown. Suddenly I was standing outside my front door and Gabriel standing on my left.
‘What did you do that for?’ I asked exasperated, trying to comb out the knots out of my hair with my fingers.
‘Well, I would look a bit weird if a giant human bird flew from the sky outside your house,’ he said sarcastically.
‘I thought you agreed to ask me next time you decide to run super fast,’ I hissed firmly, folding my arms across my chest.
‘I don’t like waiting,’ he shrugged smiling at me joyfully. After finding that right key, I opened the front door. The familiar creaking of the door greeted me as I swung the door open. Luckily the lights were not on, as that would have indicated that Dad was home. He had strictly told me that night before that I was to be home before it was dark; I had clearly violated his rules. After turning on the main light by the front door, I turned around to see if Gabriel was behind me. A faint breeze fluttered in though the open door with it was a peculiar scent, it was bitter almost resembling vinegar. I saw Gabriel out of the corner of my eye stiffen, his eyes becoming a dark blue. I spun around to face him; his eyes were fixed on the sky.
‘What is it?’ I asked concerned, standing behind him.
‘Venator!’ He hissed though gritted teeth.
I all happened to fast, my eyes darted from left to right trying to figure out what was happening, I started to fell dizzy.
Suddenly every thing went black.
I was in a black room, or I think it was. Everything was covered in black; the only thing I could hear was a weak voice repeating my name over and over again.
The voice grew louder, and then I realized I was Gabriel voice.
‘Emily, Emily,’ he called frantically.
The black was fading, I saw a blurry outline of a face; and then it all came into view.
I was lying on the couch in the sitting room and Gabriel was sitting at the end of the couch, his forehead crumpled up in concern.
‘What happened,’ I muttered trying to sit up. Then realizing that was a bad idea, I lay back down.
‘You fainted,’ he said stroking my hair off my face.
‘What was that smell?’ I asked crinkling my nose up.
‘There wasn’t one.’
‘Yeah, it smelt like vinegar.’
I sat up slightly, so I was propped on my elbow.
‘Are you ok?’ he asked with worried eyes.
‘Yeah, I’m fine,’ I said bluntly sitting up next to Gabriel.

Who could explain this phenomena to me so that it makes sense. How is it "possible" to sense the thoughts, emotions or how this person feels, even if this person is far away?
I heard about morphogenic (?) fields from Rupert Sheldrake, could this be why one can senses this so clearly at some occassions? Can somebody give a clear explanation if possible?

Thank you indeed.

This is for those who say that we have to make our own purpose of life. (For those who say there is no purpose of life, think of it as "reasons for living" instead of purpose.)

I see lots of advice as to purpose but little concerning the process of selecting that purpose.

The process seems to be one of holding up an idea and then trying to get some feeling about the idea. It is as if we are of two minds. The first mind selects ideas and the second mind passes judgment. People are frustrated because the mind that passes judgment usually says no (eventually).

I rarely see a trivial purpose mentioned except in jest. Many of us spend lots of hours on the computer but that is also rarely mentioned. Most purposes are "noble", e.g. save the world, feed the hungry, learn all you can, love your loved ones, live life to the fullest, etc.

So what criteria is our "second mind" using and what is forcing our "first mind" to keep trying?

So what values could we strive after, which will go above material values? If we die, we cannot take money or fame or material wealth with us. Which sort of values would make sense even after we lost our physical body, assuming you believe in life after death?

I think the photos I used to take with my old Pentax MG were as good, if not better than the ones I take with a Canon EOS 300D.
Keep in mind that I didn't have a clue what I was doing with either of them.
I did like the manual controls on the pentax though, I feel a bit ovewhelmed by the EOS I think.
Some photographer mates of mine sort of "insisted" that I should buy it a couple of years ago. (One of them also insisted on fondling it right there on the street after I came out of the camera shop... kinky!)
Now I'm wondering if I did the right thing. Maybe a course might help? I did go to one, but it was too basic, even for me. Now I'm housebound for a while until I get better. Yep, I'm raving on again...

Are the bells and whistles over-rated, or is it just me that's over-rated ?

Hello!
I am trying to find how other photographers prefer to shoot there outdoor portraits. When going from scene to scene in say, a park for example, how is your camera set? For example I use Aperture Priority. I use to use Manual Mode. There is also Shutter Priority. And Program Mode. Which do you do?
THANKS GUYS!

slowly fading away i know i am..

i can feel the tiny flicker of light buning out of me
succumbing to the heaviness of my heart and the weakening of my whole being
the tears that won't dry up lest they be like sands in the desert
and you my beloved has gone so far away from me..
you cannot hear the faint pulse that may soon completely cease
nor my desperate attempts to scream for your beautiful name
which almost always falls into soft whimpers...as i catch each breath
painfully and exhausting to my tattered soul..i see you
like a most vivid dream inside my hallucinating mind
or a lucid nightmare that has no end where I...
engulfed in an eternal lake of fire...might never again awake.
