Well, of course the oldest forms of religion were animistic, and not organized.
As for the oldest known organized form of spiritualism that would qualify as a 'religion' -
that would be Zoroasterianism.
It originated in Mesopotamia (middle-east) by a high-priest/philosopher named Zoroaster. It is still practiced to this day in some places, including Iran.

The first evidence of a belief in an afterlife is assumed to be around 60,000 years ago, coinciding with the first evidence of ceremonial burials among homo sapiens. Exactly what the world view was called or whether it included a belief in a higher being can only be assumed. The ceremonial burials indicate the belief in an afterlife for sure.

Animism is the oldest religion, and the basis of all other religions. It's the belief in the soul, and that there is something more than what we can see.

Paganism, i think so this is the oldest because even before uncivilized people started to believe on everything around them.

when it comes to culture and civilisation,we're deffinetly talking about mesopotamia and egipt,so the first cult was sumerian,before ghilgamesh
