CHRISTMAS

Home for the holidays: It's Christmas--
Though the snow has come and gone,
And the childish glee of Christmas:
It has also come and gone.

Just a routine break in a routine life--
Why is no one laughing?
Christmas used to be full of life;
Now no one feels like laughing.

Now it's raining; the clouds are dark
And everyone is hurrying.
This is a time when everything seems dark
And no one knows why they're hurrying.

Lets say in the next million years. If they become or almost become intelligent as man, what do you think will happen?

I saw the piece last night. It's an electronic instrument with an antennae. The musician uses his left hand to press some sort of button. The musician uses his right hand in a sort of a clenched fist. I believe that some how the right hand interferes with the signal from the antennae. The instrument produces a strange "sci-fi" like sound. Anybody have any ideas?

People always quote the Bible or this or that, but rarely does it have any true meaning to them. They are only saying what they were taught, but I want know what you believe in your secret heart. If you have quotes or other statements give them to back you up. I just want an honest answer and nobody ridiculing another as they do in R&S. Also how does that affect your thought on the world and what will happen in the future. Do you believe we are the only sentient beings of life?
And I think all of you beforehand for humoring me and helping me find like minded, rational people to have an intelligent discussion with.

I've been reading up on the Critique of pure reason and regarding space and time the reference I'm using makes a lot out of them being objectively valid, subjectively conditioned but not transcendentally valid. What the hell is the difference between transcendentally valid and objectively valid? If there is one surely its quite miniscule??

The old people of today are normally less into computers and usually not at all into games, current music etc. I am a disc jockey, I actually appreciate almost all forms of music except maybe death metal, although I do like other forms of hard rock death metal is eh... And I love my computer and playing MMORPG's and shooters and I wish I had a virtual reality headset etc. even though that technology is available but not popular and has to be ordered over the internet. So am I gonna become an old man that only wants to listen to "oldies" like system of a down, daddy yankee, linkin park, jet, etc. and hates playing mmorpgs and shooter games? Or will the "new" age of old people be in fact more hip than before? I can't honestly imagine what could come out that I would hate when I am an old man?

Hi! I'm stage manager for my school's production of A Christmas Carol. It is nearly impossible to find old looking tiny lanterns around here, but luckily my mom had some electrical ones. We took out the lightbulb and cut the wire specifically to make handles. We also took out the plastic, because it melts very easily.

Unfortuneatly, once we superglued the tealights to the base of the lanterns and lit one up, we realized that the metal heats up VERY VERY QUICKLY. I cannot have anyone get burned and these are the only lanterns that I have to work with.

Anyone know of a flame retardant spray or flame retardant paint that may work to keep the metal from heating up? Or any other ideas?

Thanks!
