Monkeys are already more intelligent than some people I know

Your answer depends whether we are also alive or not.

If we humans are alive, the monkeys will not develop intelligence. We are destroying their habitat, and they would be lucky to be alive in a million years.

If we humans are not alive, the monkeys may develop intelligence. The same reasons that allowed prehumans to become intelligent would apply to the monkeys. It is not a certain direction, but it would be likely.

With the number of wars etc, the Monkeys are already ruling the world and do not wish to downgrade their intelligence to that of mere human.

Hello:

Well I would think that if something kills the humans that more than likely will get rid of most if not all the mammals. Whatever of those that survives has a shot, also I have a feeling that incests might evolve next.

Who knows though.

I hope this helps.

No, if we are destroyed, the thing that destroyed us will probably take monkeys too. monkeys will not be able to exploit the niche we have taken. be more creative, the things left after we leave will become far different before they reach the level we're at today.

to say guy is the most smart species, is an elementary catch to fall into. we are the purely species that adapts the enviroment to in structure ourselves, yet does that make us the most smart? the finished Whales have developed to a level the position they have absolutely change into component to the enviroment. How smart is that? in addition they stepped forward a verbal replace device, each and each piece as complicated as ours, the position they could keep in contact with one yet another, from Pole to Pole, before the sound toxins of our inner combustion engines drowned out their songs/language. they have also developed to a level the position all they ought to do, is spend an hour or 2 feeding, each and every couple of days, then something of their time, is leisure time. we may be able to purely aspire to that, in the present day. Whales do no longer waste their intelligence on inventing thoughts to kill their own species, nor do they take advantage of alternative creatures to extra their aims. Their psychological skill, the complexity of their spoken language, and their mind length are all extra suited to guy's, the care they take over their little ones, the bonds they have with different individuals of their Species, all of those are a minimum of, equivalent to Mankind's, if no longer more suitable. in case you count number intelligence because the ability to stay in a fashion that does no longer contain destroying the enviroment in besides, then i ought to say they are extra smart than us. also, Elephants are basically as emotionally conscious, and altruistic as we are. they are able to love, revenge, and attending to understand, as we are. If no extra. As are lots of the finished Apes, who absolutely study many stuff a lot speedier than we ever gave them credit for. the actual shown reality that we invent stuff, like pcs, is beside the point. on the end of the day, how smart is it to be as completely depending on technologies as we are? And to be so unaware of the needs and rights of alternative smart species? no longer very. it really is how a lot.

the reason we are so smart is because of evolutionary pressure that required us become more intelligent. there is no reason to assume that the same will happen to monkeys.

Apes will not become as smart as man. To suggest such a thing shows a lack of understanding of how natural selection works.

Species do not constantly evolve. They only evolve as much as necessary to survive as a species.

No monkeys have been around as long or longer than humans and they have shown no technological advances. They can be taught and are smart animals but remember humans tought them.

If they become as intelligent as men seem to be today they would be taking a distinctly regressive step
