My school is doing the musical My Fair Lady. I don't know anything about this musical so I have some questions.

1) How many dance numbers are in this musical?
2) How many main characters are there?
3) Who are the main characters?

Thank you much

Not very many the street sweepers have one and I can't remember others even tho I directed the show many years ago.

2 main characters Higgins and Eliza
3 larger supporting roles Freddie, Pickering and Eliza's Father
A few smaller roles that can be double cast out of the chorus or cast as separate, non singing roles like the European phonetics expert-rival of Higgins, the Maid etc.

1) Different productions will have different numbers, but there is generally dancing in "Get Me to the Church on Time" and "With a Little Bit of Luck". There may also be some dancing in "Ascot Gavotte" and the Embassy Ball scene.

2 and 3) Main characters:

Eliza Doolittle, a poor cockney flower-seller who learns to speak and act like an upper-class lady.

Professor Henry Higgins, an upper-class researcher and teacher specializing in languages and phonetics.

Colonel Hugh Pickering, an older, retired army man who served in India and is also interested in languages.

Alfred P. Doolittle, Eliza's ne'er-do-well father who has a surprising gift of gab.

Freddy Eynsford-Hill, a not-so-bright upper-class young man who falls for Eliza in a big way.

Mrs. Pearce, Higgins's middle-aged/older housekeeper. Very sensible and proper.

Mrs. Higgins, Higgins's liberal-thinking mother, who takes a shine to Eliza and disapproves of most everything her son does.
