I am 16 years old and I am planning on buying an acoustic guitar within a few weeks. Since schools starting soon, I won't be able to get signed up for lessons to learn how to play. I was just planning on also purchasing a book or DVD set to help me learn how to play. If I got one of these books/DVD sets, How long will it take me to learn the basic steps so I'll be able to play regular songs? I've played only one intrument in the past and it was a clarinet, maybe since I know the notes to play that, maybe it'll be a little more simple to play the guitar. What do you think?

I was just thinking today. I thought back upon 9-11 and I can remember shortly after that horrible tragedy how it seemed all Americans were one. We were more patient with one another, kind, we laid our differences aside just for a short time to understand one another. It is like a brother and sister love-hate relationship. I can say what ever I want to you but, no one else better. I was just thinking how nice it would be if we could love one another despite our differences. Your thoughts?

I had this discussion with my friends not too long ago, and was wondering what your insight was?

I know there are rules about children being naked in pictures, paintings etc...
but at what point does this change?

and what about naked angelic paintings from hundreds of years ago?

should we still be showing these in galleries?

what about if you, for example, take a photo of your child in the bath, just because they look cute? Why is this not illegal?

It might sound a bit cheesy, all criticism welcomed.

Good Morning,
Birds are singing, trees are swinging,
The sun rises with all its force. It's rays touch the waters making them glow, but failed to touch the heart that is in mourn.

Good Afternoon,
The crowds gather in the streets for their daily bread,
Talking away the ideas in their heads. While others mourn their soulful pain, praying away for resignation to gain.

Good Evening,
The shadows begin to fade, as the sun begins to set.
The mourners eyes dry out, but the pain is still there being expressed with a shout. It is the only relief for them.
That, plus words of faith that end with "Amen"

Goodnight,
The everyday life takes a brief pause but not an end.
The ones we love we think we lost, we will meet again.
Life goes on after a life ends.
Just like the moon rises and the sun sets.

He was born in 1866 and died in 1937. I saw a painting of his in the Alte Nationalgalerie, in Berlin. It portrayed a young woman walking on the strand, and wearing a hat; unfortunately I can't recall the name of this painting. I would really like to know someting more about him, his life, and his works.

Should I be careful? I met this guy online in June.We have been dating eachother ever since.Lately he has?
began telling me that he wants me to move to his city. We live only 30 min away from each other.I dont have my own apartment because I have to help my grandmother,she wants me here.He has been looking for apartments in his city for me.The rent is really high where he lives.Why does he want me to just pick up and move there to be with him.The only help that he has offered is to rent a car and help move my belongings from here to there.He said that I am always coming to his place and he doesnt want to come to mine because it is too far.Could he be abusive?

I'm torn. I have been dating this man for about two months now.Lately he has been telling me that he wants me to go to Arizona in November to meet his family,friends,everyone.H... and I live here in California and he wants to move to New York with him next year.He asked me last weekend if I can have children.I'm a little hesitant because he has a really BADDD temper.He got mad at me and punched the wall.We went on an outing to the park. I told him that I needed to go to the bathroom.When I got back from the bathroom he showed me his camera.He had followed me and took pictures of me as I went to the bathroom aal the way until I went inside.I remember stopping to talk to a lady about her dog,he took pictures of that too.Am I jumping to conclusions or should I be careful

Ok...I was reading the sixth book (Half Blood Prince)
and i wondered ..... after the Snape's Defence against the Dark Arts class , why did Harry said to Snape...that there's no need to call him "sir"? i don't know but that was confusing....

I just finished this play and after reading it I am left with a very unsatisfied feeling. After thinking more about it, I began to wonder what I was supposed to get out of reading it and I really cant think of anything. Well, you see..
My High school as an incredible library.My parents are overprotected so I'm not allow to go to any other library or bookstore out side of school.Therefore,the school library was like my special place.Two months ago around May towards the ending of school.I checked out this psychology book,I loved it.It was due on May 29.Remember these are days towards the end of school.So,on May 28 I went to turn the book in but it said "Library is closed".So,i had no chance.Now i knew i couldn't come back to school to return it since today was the last day of school.So,I gave it to my friend who claim that she will be going to summer school.I gave her the book and my ID and told her to please return back to me before they begin to charge.And after a month (June) She told me she was unable to return it since she didnt go to summer school.And school just started last monday,in the back of the book it says the book costs $55.I returned the book on friday by the little box afraid that
