My first panto as an adult. And the company is short of funds, .....inevitably.
I'm playing the King in Sleeping Beauty.
And was wondering if anyone had a Kings outfit that they may donate to me?

I was sent this really gorgeous, cute but still sad thing from my friend about how much he missed me.

Could someone help me to write something back? Nothing I can think of is good enough.

For myself I would be looking at a reflection, but I always wonder is the image accurate. Thinking about a dirty window, looking out it the images you can see look fine, but after cleaning the window the images may look very diffrent although its the same image. So is the reflection I see an acurate image of myslef. Cameras offer a better option to see yourself but again, its still a refelction.

Better to stop short than fill to the brim.
Oversharpen the blade, and the edge will soon blunt.
Amass a store of gold and jade, and no one can protect it.
Claim wealth and titles, and disaster will follow.
Retire when the work is done.
This is the way of heaven.

It's true... words are empty, meaningless. They simply say what you are feeling but they cannot convey it, nor truly invoke or portray those feelings inside of you.

While words cannot truly portray emotion, they have the ability to provoke anger, passion, sadness, joyfulness and even love. Even then though, they are not truly giving you the feeling and experience of such emotion, yet they provoke such a thing to let you experience for yourself.

I wrote this myself :)

Hi,

This boils down to 5 key questions for me:

1] When and how did conquering Spaniards in indigenously-populated Mexico become "Mexicans?"

2] When did Spanish control of New Spain/Mexico cede to and come under Mexican control?

3] Was this (#2 above) when Mexico became a formal Mexican nation---and no longer a colony of Spain?

4] Was it mostly Spaniards---or later day Mexicans---who originally explored and/or settled areas north of the present border between Mexico and the U.S.?

5] When did Spanish authority/control of present U.S. territory as defined then through land grants, etc---fall under Mexican authority/control?

The dates and circumstances of these 5 particular events would be very much appreciated---as well as the resources.

Thank you muchly.

if one day you were born, and that was it. no end, just a beginning. what would life be like? would our priorities and motivations be different? what would you personally do differently, if you genuinely believed you'd never die?

It says in the bible that god created the earth out of scratch, but it says nothing about the other planets. And the universe is huge there are more solar systems and things like that, so why would god "make" all that? why would he make planets without life form....just for the hell of it? it doesnt explain that in the bible so where do you think that actually came from?

I started writing poems one day and realised I was quite good. So I started writing short stories and then decided to write a letter as it would be from a soldier to his wife in World War 1.

Tell me what you think....................

My Beauty Elizabeth

My Spirit mourns for the touch of your delicate beauty. I am heavy laden with thoughts of trepidation and despair. Oh how I yearn for the moment my dream become reality – the day my fingers caress your body once more.

The stench of death and pain caused by man’s warring battle distress my soul. To partake in mankind’s abysmal vengeance was a choice beyond my power. For by the thousands, we are forced to partake in a war we neither caused nor sought after.

Like sheep that are herded by fear by a superior being, they attempt flight - an escape path but to no avail. Their efforts are fruitless; the unremitting attempts of freedom exhaust their willpower and valor of heart.

Surrender is the only alternative, the tyrant is too power

I only have my tongue halfway in my cheeks gentle readers!

Consider this: Clive Cussler likes dachshunds.

Dirk Pitt has red hair is very macho extremely self confident fearless bold likes to explore brave courageous fights again impossible odds winds against greater larger foes ...

Sounds kinda like a male dachshund?

Certainly he has many of the personality traits of dachshunds

Anyone know if Clive Cussler ever had a dachshund called Dirk or Pitt?

I do wonder sometimes?

this is my first day writing poetry.. i've written two..

Poem A

I want you to know, how deeply I care
For somebody whose touch, is more than I can bare.
When you get near, I trimble, I just want you to see
Your my world, my universe... I want you to belong to me.
But thats too much to ask, if you could only see
From the second our eyes met, I knew it was destiny.
Your my only one, my everything.
Please know, im your's for the taking.

Poem B

All this suffering, been doing it for years
After all the wondering, i'm back at the starting point
Start to think, whats the point to my journey.
Maybe it's just destiny, that I fail.
I cant handle, my fear of rejection.
Maybe it's just destiny, that I fail.
