It says in the bible that god created the earth out of scratch, but it says nothing about the other planets. And the universe is huge there are more solar systems and things like that, so why would god "make" all that? why would he make planets without life form....just for the hell of it? it doesnt explain that in the bible so where do you think that actually came from?

The Bible doesn't pretend to give all details of creation. I believe the wording is that before the creation the world was without form and void.

This could refer to the earth or to the entire cosmos. Planets without life form help provide balance in cosmic systems.

I have not problem reconciling the Bible with what is known about the universe. Some things can be accepted without explanation.

Hi there. The Bible is too complicated and open to misinterpretation for me ,so i don't use it as a reference. I use my own common sense and although i don't know why the universe and planets were created ,that is not important to me,i just wonder at the beauty of all the things around me and i know it all had to be created .It is too intrinsically beautiful to have happened by chance.and i don't use religion as the reason for my belief in a God.I use my mind only to come to this conclusion and there is no way i would try to convert anyone to believe in what i believe in.I respect everyones opinion on their belief of God or no God.

You have an honest opinion. Many had just accepted because of belief even though there are a lot of questions in their minds. Some questions of yours are really not answered by the Bible because the scriptures written by the disciples are only limited in that area. So many questions unanswered to really doubt His existence. Just keep on going with your life and seek for the answers. Life is a continuing processes. Go for it my friend and seek for the teal truth. I respect your opinion.

God is a magic pill for the human brain, it's comforting, giving hope, and the side effect is positive, that's why so many people are addicted to it, BUT they are man made. All over the world, every culture has their own god, they are so different, yet believers always think that their god is absolutely the one, how funny. For people who do not need the brain pill, just ignore it.

well, those planets will be yours in life after earth gets old and devastated . replenish it. good idea? Like you, God can created using his thinking, I mean, creativity and understanding, and knowledge. To God no impossible, like you were created from tiny microb , invisible until 1950. He can solve ur problem.

If you read the book of Revalations then you would know that it said there that the Earth will be destroyed and the survivers will be brought to another home. If it is true than where will they take us?

You should ask someone about this... Maybe your teacher or a priest or a nun...

But you remember that it also says there is only one god, so you can basically conclude that he made the rest of the planets too.
The only reason earth is singled out is because it's the only planet with human life.

What good does it do to question god's infinite reasoning and purposes, when we are mere humans?

When things are going well, I believe in a God...but when things aren't going well, I'm like you...I don't believe god exists.
