I've got an audition coming up for a musical within the next few days. On the notice posted online, your asked, if not auditioning for a lead, to sing "Happy Birthday" or another simple number with no music.

What exactly qualifies as a "simple number"? Does it HAVE to be like "Happy Birthday" or "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"? Or can it be like a regular song...acapella style?

of your sixth sense..it will also help develop it. Heres the deal, I have a secret object on my desk that I have concentrated on mentally for a few minutes..try to figure out what it is, if you are confident, write the item outright, most of you will choose to describe things such as colors, textures, or smells, that's fine also, this is a first of hopefully many experiments like this..close your eyes, concentrate, and the first reactions you get are usually the best, I will pick the one who guesses right or closest..good luck!

How soft the night
As light breaks with thunder
Clouded kisses
Linger in the storm
Shadows starving
Lost without form.

Forgiving questions
And answers unsaid
Stealing a moment
With a whisper in the wind
Memories untouched
Forgotten in the sin.

How soft the night,
Lightning from an angel
Traces of passion
Embraced by faith
Tremble, Falter,
Hunger for space.

Gathered within feathers
Guilded by idols
Dancing in her dreams
False prayers in turmoil
Passed on by fate
To the mortal coil.

How soft the night,
My breath brushed by heaven,
Symphonies in Silhouettes,
Another dance, Another place,
Another time, Another grace,
Shining by the light,

Every soft night.

I love autobiographies, looking for a woman's perspective. Not looking for something political or with drug/alcohol abuse, more like man vs man (or should I say self vs self...?) Time period not so relevant. Something inspiring...

Eyes opened and scowl upon his face
Greets with blinded eyes and fallen grace
Not a kind word is shared or spoken
His life is hollow, black, and broken

To strangers that he happens to meet
Smiles appear and courtesies are sweet
There is no hint of the man within
He who growls every word to his kin

Surviving onslaught of aimed anger
Is penance for past misbehavior
Help me one who lives under the bed
To endure a life that I now dread

I noticed people who answered, included the word "he" in their answer refering to "God". Please explain. Also when asked what god means to you, and the answer is "savior" or "guide" or "one that leads or gives direction", is your answer referring to a real "being" (living or dead) or do you mean an inner faith which leads you as a person?
I'm trying to find ot what "god" means to people and whether "he" is construed to be a real being or an imaginary (or real) inner presence of oneself to use as a guide of ones life.
This seems to be a question of many different answers and "ologys" and just curious of what people think regarding this subject.
